Just sitting in my job, working out my months notice before I start with a new firm.

Before you say it...yes winding down!

I was just thinking to myself if I was lucky enough to be involved in the world of football what would I want to work as.

Manager springs to mind straight away but would I really want all the pressure that comes with it.

So Ive decided I'd choose a first team scout. Plenty of travel, loads of watching football and nobody knows who you are so you could carry on with life as normal.

    What would you choose!

    Manager

Youth coach because when one goes on to make it the pride they must get knowing they helped him grow.

    Or Young Boys FCs groundsman

Manager would be my first choice, but I'd take anything apart from being the Chelsea work experience kid. <ok>

I'm with you mate. European scout seems to be a brilliant job. A lot of paperwork would inevitably come with it, but that's what flight's are for!

    ;) just messin wit' ya.

a scout sounds good, but a lot of pressure to put up with if your recommendation goes tits up. a first team coach. no expectation like the manager or even assistant manager has, get to work with the players every day and sod off home at 2 pm.

I wonder how much a scout gets paid. I like the sound of a 2pm finish though.

Being a language student, I think interpreter for all the Ben Arfas and Tiotes in the side, would love to be around training and matches without any real pressure.

Other than that a scout would be lovely, paid to watch football and travel.

    Fixed.

OFF TOPIC: have I just imagined this or did Claudio Ranieri's translator get sacked after it was discovered he didn't speak Italian very well and was just making up answers?
