"I'm not use to conceding goals" Oh come on that's a joke right, he seriously said this, what a weirdo is he stupid( no need to answer).
Put this up on a sister thread.. This man is a classic, todays specials... * We were in control of the game... * Performance excellent, poor result.. * We were the dominant team but we lost 2-0.. The whole ethos and morale of your club from all involved must be taking a hell of a battering, your manager seems to blames everyone and everything except himself, most strange. These are the BBC match stats, they don't seem to match with Buckle.. Possession * Barnet 57% * Bristol Rovers 43% Attempts on target * Barnet 5 * Bristol Rovers 5 Attempts off target * Barnet 4 * Bristol Rovers 5 Corners * Barnet 6 * Bristol Rovers 6 Fouls * Barnet 12 * Bristol Rovers 15
i think he meant whenhe was at torquay, he wasnt conceding goals now at rovers were averaging over 2 goals a game so he aint use to dealing with this. to me he sounded like he admitted he hasnt got a clue what he was doing as he hasnt had to deal with losing/conceding so much.
i think buckle should treat villa like totton, send all the strikers out firing on all cylinders go 3-0 up and then resign. nothing like going out at the top
I can understand the amount of anger and negtive banter being expressed on the Board over the last few weeks. However I do have a certain amount of sympathy for the Rovers Board. They took a huge gamble; employing a young inexperienced manager who came with what was perceived as a bit of a reputation. They gave their man completely free rein to rip the playing squad apart and employ an entirely new squad. Now whatever we think with hindsight that took a lot of guts. If the Board had been fortunate enough to gain the services of someone in the mould of a young Brian Clough, then we could have been looking at entirely different position. Bear in mind that at the start of the season the Bookmakers ALL fell for it bigtime and made the Gas top three for automatic promotion. How often do the Bookies get it that wrong? There are many negative issues to put forward. Man management skills; public relations issues; team tactics. Even the fact that unfortunately for the Gas, Mr Buckle just doesn't seem to be a lucky bathsteward!! OK, so bigtime it has not worked. So how do the Board deal with the current situation? For sure they were not going to resort to knee jerk reaction. Managements always prefer to give that little bit of extra time to see if events will turn around. Clearly someone needs to be brought in the help sort out the situation either as Buckles replacement or as his mentor. So dependent upon when the Board made/makes its decision that the time has/will come to act a new face has to be selected and terms agreed. IMO it is probable that the Board has acted now and that changes may well be imminent!
