You'll be chuffed that Routledge got his first Premier League goal then, after all the negative stuff you dished out?

Nathan dyer MOTM for me, and well done Routledge on getting his first Prem goal, he just needed the right team, and what of my good friend Orlandi, well done! Awesome display again by our boys, that's the way to play away from home!...........

Just got back from the game and still buzzing! Fantastic performance from everyone - and a great 'surprise' performance from Orlandi; he looks a totally different player! Given the performances in the last two games Buck now really has some selection dilemmas, and it feels soooo good saying that!

Today was a near perfect away performance, I was a bit nervy in the last 20 minutes, but apart from hitting the post at the death - really couldn't see Villa scoring. Buck is taking to this squad rotation stuff like an old pro and the satisfying thing is that no-one has let him down.

But the most important thing about the game was finally putting the 'can't win away from home' rubbish to bed. I think that today will prove a huge psychological lift for the team - and coupled with the superb effort against Spurs - I think that the players will be straining at the leash to get stuck into Arsenal in a fortnights time. Can't wait to take my seat for that one - the belief in the squad must be at an all time high and they will definitely think they have a chance of claiming their first win against one of the Premier League 'big boys'!

We have, on previous occasions, been guilty of showing the 'big' teams a little too much respect - I think that this will be another psychological barrier that the team have overcome - and I expect us to come out against Arsenal and play our natural game from the offset. Arsenal will also come down to play their game and I feel we always do better against teams who don't just try to stop us playing - should be a cracker, am almost disappointed that we have to travel to Barnsley first! ;)

Buck made mention about the away fans traveling farther than any other team & " The players & supporters " finally got there 3 points "

Haven't seen that yet Cracker - but am busily hunting down all reports and web snippets about the game, but have not long got back - but agree, the travelling Jacks are immense and we outsung the Villa fans for much of the game. Felt a bit strange singing an egg chasers song at the beginning of the season - but think we have made Hymns and Arias our own now! <cheers>

swans-cartoonhead - Totally agree. A magnificent performance - the only negative was that we should have buried them in the first half!!

Nah - we were just playing with them - we didn't want to go too far ahead as then they would have given up and we wouldn't have had the much needed practice at defending set pieces! Was a tactical masterstroke from Buck 'Listen boys - we've got this team beat so go a bit easy on them and then we can practice our defensive moves ahead of the Arsenal game!' Pure genius!!! ;)

Highlight of the Day for me - In the 87th minute the Swans fans were giving a rousing rendition of "Hymns and Arias" and in the background there were THOUSANDS of Villa fans leaving. I knew it was in the bag then <party>

Really pleased for you guys, you play some amazing football and as my disrespect for QPR seems to grow exponentially my respect for your club grows at the same rate.

We came up playing proper football and we'll stay up with the same mentality. Your players play for the club, fans and crucially themselves.

You've got great heart and I hope QPR go down and we both stay up because we deserve it A LOT more.

Not expecting an easy game at the liberty AT ALL

    Good luck to ya lads

The Jack Army was in great voice today. It was fabulous to hear all the way through the game.

I went to the game yesterday and I know all the players had a good game - but Caulker was awesome in defence. I heard someone say we only have him until January I hope this is not true. But Villa had corner after corner and they did not look like scoring. Caulker was class he cleared everything and him and Williams are flying in defence.

Very produ of the boys yesterday!

Pundits vote of confidence ... If we keep playing the way we did against Spurs and Villa then there is no doubt we will be playing in this league next season. If we play the way we did against Everton and some extent QPR then it's going to be too close for comfort.

Which version of the Swans shows up and plays in any particular game will govern, but is too much Jekyll and Hyde.

As far as I'm aware we've got him until the end of the season!

As someone said, MOTD was good fun last night.

Presenter to Alan Hansen: "So do you have any doubt Swansea will be a Premier League team next year?"

    Alan Hansen: "No doubt."

    BOOM!

Caulker`s loan is due to end this month, but `Arry sees no problem with him staying all season as the Swans have looked after him very well.

Hansen, someone I really despise also said "we were magnificent".

You may despise Hansen but he's only once (and very famously) been wrong. He also said "I hope that's not the kiss of death!"

PLay like we did over the last 2 games and we'll be comfortably mid-table, just inside top half. Momentum is now the key.
