So Arsenal fans don't care about us?

Funny how they spent half the game singing about us, not their self-proclaimed rivals like Utd and Chelsea.

Made the win even more sweeter by Fulham, because of their muggy, bitter fans.

We were playing the beautiful game long before them, so the inferority complex must run deep with them. Arsenal in our shadow, love it <laugh>

  2. I bet they shut up, like the fools they all are, when Zamora banged in the winner <laugh>

    :) PNP.

Their singing in support of the team was less than great, but boy are they obsessed by us. I thought their rivals were the 'Big 4' these days <laugh>

  5. Naz, you'd better watch it, mate, or you'll find me adding your quotes to my "roll-call of despair" thread <laugh>

Somewhere to let off steam, SNIAW?
Your board isn't somewhere to go for a pick me up when you fail to win, though.
I've been to less bleak goth clubs.

What the hell was he talking about?
Why should the Djourou red card have been a foul to your lot?
I think he's finally lost it.

  8. Is it another case of "Wenger's dodgy glasses"?

I'm hardly neutral, but it's a tricky situation.
Does he have money to spend? If so, then you might be able to get in a worthy successor.
If he doesn't have any cash, then replacing him would be absolutely pointless, as you're not going to get anyone better to replace him.

It's impossible to work out whether your current problems are caused by the manager or the board.
Is Wenger steadfastly sticking to his policies of old, despite the problems that they're causing or is he forced into that position?

  11. Immediately prior to my being banned from your board, I was one of the very few posters who spoke out in support of Wenger. I still refuse to see him as your problem. It's your octogenarian board of directors that is your problem. They are the ones who are slow to change. It doesn't matter who you had as manager, your board would still keep tight reins on everything at the club.

By the way, I was accused of being a wum by a small (but powerful) minority of your members, but if I had said even half the things that Jayram has said recently, I'd probably have been banned from the whole site. Who needs wums on your board when you have Jayram? <laugh> He does a better wum-job than any one I know.

Dein's departure definitely hurt Wenger, SNIAW.
I think that he lost both an ally and a useful asset in signing players, so he's more isolated from the board and he can't get the people he needs to improve the squad, either.

His body language is appalling now.
Remember when he used to thrive on being the professor, above it all, calmly surveying the game from the sidelines?
Now he's doing his Basil Fawlty impression, throwing bottle all over the place, having a tantrum and ranting at the 4th official.

He needs to change the staff around him, I think.
Even bringing back George Graham to coach the defence would help, as they keep making the same mistakes all the time.
He's surrounded by yes men and he's got nobody above him that he trusts.

    That just sounds immensely arrogant.
    Nobody knows everything, do they?
Why bother having any other coaches or even the physios, if that's his mindset?
He'll pick himself to play right-back, next.

It's ok though, because you can play Song there and put Frimpong in the middle, instead.
    Oh, wait...

I can't stand Wenger but I think he's the fall guy for the lack of money available.

I think the Emirates cost them a lot more than they let on and they have no proper funds but Wenger keeps quiet and takes the flack.

Would I be right in saying that the timing of the Emirates project, resulted in reduced funds so soon after dismantling the Invincibles. The housing market crashed when you wanted to sell the Highbury apartments, so that money took a couple of years longer to come in than projected. This is what happened behind the scenes, with Wenger covering up saying he didn't need to buy top players on top money, he'd do it with what he had at the club. Whoever thought maintaining what the previous side did without spending wanted their head testing, unfortunately your board believed him.

Wenger trying to find the 3 points that they threw away?

Notice the player to the left making a 'dickhead' gesture. <whistle>
