Well we continued our overly ****e away form, plus we now are the bottom off the form guide. Need to improve big time if we are going to go up. All these people saying but we are still top, need to look at the big picture. Our form is terrible and we won't be there for much longer if we don't sort it and quick.
Beef - I'm one of those, but my point is that we are all crying and slating the team. No need. Get behind them, encourage them and accept that we are in a great position and one that I didn't expect us to be in. What you all going to do if we finish 8th? Call for Adkins to be sacked?
Gulys injury sounds nasty, NA says it was a gluteal injury, now that is what I would have expected in Brighton but not on the football pitch!
Nope would never call for Adkins to get sacked, just saying we are in very poor form. Our away form is starting to piss me off, I have been to all but the poopey game. We seem to play the exact same all the time away narrow with no width. Yes it's amazing where we are and how we are doing, but it will be hesrtbreaking if we don't go up after all we have achieved.
You really don't. Stupid, senseless act, for which he was rightly sent off (I'd already called the red before the ref had produced it). 100% of red card, no question. It was such a shame though, because until that point we had played so well. Comfortably the better team, with Lallana and Connolly - aided by Cork and Guly - passing the ball through Brighton very, very well. But the red card changed everything, it gave Brighton license to attack and left us without anyone leading the line. The one and only complaint I've got about us pre-Lambert's red card, was Harding (no surprise there then!). Absoloutely awful, and thank the lord he was hauled off. Rarely marked anyone, got completely done over by Buckley, and was clearly one more foul away from an early bath.
I agree entirely. No-one in their right mind would call for Adkins to get the boot after what he has achieved over the past year and a bit. Our away form is poor and does need addressing, there's no avoiding that fact. I also agree that it will be really disappointing if we fail to achieve promotion after being top for nearly half the season. Yes, this season has, so far, beyond our wildest expectations but that doesn't mean that it won't be a disappointment if we go on and end up outside the top two or outside the play-offs (and there'll be plenty of 'incoming' from the WUMs! )
Totally agree, but if we play like we did today (pre-Lambert's red card) on a regular basis away from home, then I can see a lot more away points coming our way. We really were very good until the red card.
Some bitter saints and on here as usual. I would love it if you didn't get promoted this year and stay in the second tier of football where you belong.
Don't rise to this one. Registered September, made 2 posts prior to this one, Alledgedly a Spurs fan. Possibly.
to be fair beef, it's the first game in 4 they've managed to beat us...... better let them have their moment of glory.
Until the red card, we looked good to get something. Really was needless and Lambert deserved to go. It's very disappointing as he'll now be missing for 3 games. Brighton are a dirty side though. Guly injury is a blow too.
Worth a look at the Gallery on the OS especially Pic. 5 and Pic 10. It doesn't help much with the Lala goal. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10280~2563957,00.html
If you can watch Saints Player, the footage in NA's interview clearly shows Lalas "goal" was over the line, absolutely no question, a fourth official with a monitor would have had no choice but to award it, time for technology, the game is being ruined by inept officials.
