Has surely gotta be given a chance now? With Connolly our only fit striker, we are going to have to dip into the Youth Team/Under 21s at least for a place on the bench. This young lad is highly rated and should start on Saturday IMO to see what he is about.

We also have Ryan Doble who has been involved with the 1st team more, also in the mix should needed
 
Totally agree with you mate!I think Sam Hoskins is a great player,I've seen some of his goals in the youth academy and they were pretty good one's aswell!!Let's give them(youngsters) ago,we haven't given our youngster a go this season(once or twice in the league cup).This is the club's philosophy after all.This is something that has disappointed me(a little) we should play these young hungry players.Why not start him in the cup and see how he gets on?
First we must look at our academy before going out to buy another striker,who knows we might have another' Lambert' waiting to play for us...
 
i don't think doble has any real future with us, didn't make an impact in l2 last season, didn't make an impact with bournemouth this season, i would give hoskins or sinclair a game though
 
Preston wouldn't play him in the league below, Hoskins isn't good enough and never will be, same with Doble. Neither will make it with us. We need to buy players as we don't have anyone up to the standard we need.

No, I know football. No doubt much more than you do. He doesn't have what it takes to make it as a pro with us and will probably end up league 1/2 at best.

I find myself in an unusual position of agreeing with Joey B which I must say is a 1st.

You simply cannot put untried, potentially lightweight strickers into the team like you all are suggesting for a team that is still top of the league and are playing for promotion - NA will not do this. We used to do this previously (remember Blackstock playing up at Goodison Park - ever going to work).

The reality is we will sign players this week or next week and we dont yet know if Lambert's red will be appealed.

Perhaps we should take time out before suggesting knee jerk reactions - I am imagining SF4L and a couple of others on here are realively young and inexperienced...

i know tactics, my next door neighbour is a football coach and im always in discussions with him - i know football bloody well without ever playing for a team
