Southampton are having the rough patch that was always going to happen and it seems nobody is prepared to grasp the opportunity with both hands at present. West Ham are as inconsistant as you might probably expect them to be with collective fans and players thinking they have some devine right to storm the league while Cardiff and Boro will always look shaky and even Reading, who were the form team, are having a bad day. Jesus it's annoying we've wobbled more than anyone over Christmas if we lose today...
A bit more than a wobble. Three games without scoring if it stays like this, I don't know how anyone can deny we need a goalscorer, least of all Barmby.
Can't complain, 3 defeats and were still in the play offs. We can't afford to keep this **** run going though. Its getting very tight again between 5th and mid-table.
I think NB quote about no rush to get a new striker in, was a smoke screen. If he publishes he is desperate to get a striker in the price will go up. I think he knows more than anyone, we need one ASAP.
Just put the same post on another thread!! Great minds think alike!! Priority has to be someone who can put the ball in the net.
Priority has to be someone who can keep it out at the other end, we don't currently seem to have a fit senior goalkeeper available for selection.
8 goals isn't bad but the amount of chances he misses is unbelievable. He must have a goal-to-chances ratio of about 0.05
To have 13 shots on target against 3, and the corner tally in favour of the Tigers 11-0, surely any striker worth his salt would convert at least a couple of chances out of all the pressure.
Unlike your club we never assumed we would be going up, therefore we didn't have any wheels to lose. As long as we play good, entertaining football and win more than we lose we'll be happy.
