What about Chalobah for the first XI? He looks like a class act for centre back. Hutchinson, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Chalobah, Cole, Bertrand. That is a good defense, a lot of defensive options to choose from.

I take your point but Sturridge and Romeu have both burst into the first team this year and are getting regular game time. Josh should be playing more but that aside I think youth has been given more of a chance than in recent years. What doesn't help is that we are making such a meal of all our fixtures at the moment that we cant chuck on a youth player with 30 to go when we are 3-0 up cos we are never in that position.
