i must be missing something here, ppl getting paid 25 grand a week and are tired after running around for 90 minutes? cant play 2 games in 2 days??????????, for 25 grand a week i would be out of my death bed to play
Sprinting and running are two entirely different things...and it's not a question of people not wanting to play, it's more if the people selected aren't 100%, then they shouldn't be playing! Tired players cost goals. Scott Sinclair ahead of the game; McLeish before the game;
your point Scott? mine is if a person earning 25K a week cant back up for 2 games in 2 days shouldn't be playing (injuries excluded, not tiredness)
Well, it's a human body. If you sprint around to the limit of your endurance, normally it isn't until the second day afterwards when your body cramps up. No matter how fit someone is, there are limits, and only the most "machine-like" players can play every game at this level.
is Sinclair the full quid? “We are still looking for that first win but every game is difficult,” said the winger. “We will bring confidence from Saturday into Monday. Spurs are a great side, they pass it around, and to nick a result at the end is great for us. A DRAW IS NOT NICKING A RESULT “We all go home and talk about why we haven’t won away, but not one player can put their finger on it. YOU ARE GETTING PAID THOUSANDS A WEEK TO FIGURE IT. “It’s just a little different not having our own fans and maybe that is the only thing. EACH GROUND HAS GREEN GRASS, GOALPOSTS ETC ETC, WEAR EAR PLUGS “When we have our home fans behind us it just spurs us on that little bit. Other than that I can’t really say what it is. I wouldn’t say it was a psychological thing. IS THIS GUY A FUKING MORON? “Hopefully we can get the first away win and kick on and get a few more. That’s the objective.” NO **** BIG YIN i wonder about the brains of some of these players
Why are you so angry?! I'd say picking up a point at home to a team full of hundreds of millions of pounds worth of talent was a hell of a result, personally, especially after conceding a deflected, undeserved equaliser just before half time...
“We are still looking for that first win but every game is difficult,” said the winger. “We will bring confidence from Saturday into Monday. Spurs are a great side, they pass it around, and for them to nick a result wa regrettable. “We all go home and talk about why we haven’t won away, but we know now that we have changed our tactics we will do it. “It’s just a little different not having our own fans and maybe that is the only thing, however having said that, its a field, a ball and goalposts, block the home fans noise out. “When we have our home fans behind us it just spurs us on that little bit. Other than that I can’t really say what it is. I wouldn’t say it was a psychological thing. TBH Scott, even i cant make a comment re that one “Hopefully we can get the first away win and kick on and get a few more. That’s the objective.”
A appreciate that his wording isn't the best, but he's paid to run around really fast and kick a sphere. A poet laureate he is not! Everyone knows away games are harder than home games, otherwise there'd be no difference between anyone's home/away form. I do fancy us for a result today though. Are there ANY Villa fans on here?!
you're reading far too much into his comments musty, he did nick a result, and a result is defined as either a win or a draw, in other words coming out with point (s) at the final whistle. away from home is different, yes it shouldnt affect performance greatly but different surroundings / travelling etc will have a small impact, and whilst he is well paid, you got a draw against a team with 10 times the budget of yours as for the match, i look forwards to some injuries and about 5 yellow cards for villa, and our friend hutton is back to kick some more lumps out of your team
all this bollocks that the players are tired makes me laugh .....they should be a tour de france cyclist, now thats fitness for you and makes a mockery of football players and their lame excuses...
Ireland was massive for Villa against Chelsea ..... but what do you expect after being named after such a quality country !! . Hopefully Allen should keep him at bay though , bit nervous about this one but thinking 2 - 1 for us
I'm feeling a cheeky 0-1 to the Swans at the moment. Vorm got the nod in my fantasy football team - which means I'm confident of a clean sheet!
I'm sure there was about 6 penalty shouts in there! Well in to whatever Villa player it was who stayed on his feet!
