Man United/Blackburn teams?

Two games this week, and some rotation required for the cup game most likely, what teams would you play for each one? Injury news is no different, minus Obertan is out for Man United. Also I believe Ba and Tiote both go to the ACON after the Man U game and are unavailable til February 12th. Also worth remembering that Gosling is available again. So what teams would you put out for each game then? Here's mine:

Simple enough, HBA in for Vuckic who looked a little out of his depth at Liverpool and Raylor in midfield replacing Obertan, as I think Sammy is too raw to be playing so much in the Premier League, personally would loan him out.

Might not be too popular a choice, but enforced changes with Ba & Tiote at the ACON, like for like swaps in both cases. Worth seeing Elliot more as well seeing as he's long term cover for Krul and I'd like to be reassured that he is good enough. HBA wont be played two games in one week if he's struggling to start one game at a time and give Ferguson a game in midfield, he's a better player than Sammy IMO and use the game to see if Jonas can play on the right, as that would give us options. Finally Gosling in as he did have a shocker at Norwich but he deserves more than one chance and playing further forward he can make more energetic runs forward without worrying about defensive work, which he is fairly poor at.




*Anyone have any idea when Guthrie is supposed to be back as well? Would be a huge boost to cover Tiote.

 

Surely Vuckic will start in cup if he doesn't in league, also think the Ameobi's will play in cup

 

If Tiote and Ba are still here for the Blackburn game I would play them both. I know its abit.... well i dont know, but I dont think it matters if they get over played if they are going to Africa soon. If they pick up a small knock in the Blackburn game it really dosent matter for us very much, as long as its not too big of a knock

 

Probably would use Vuckic in both games, just not necessarily start him. And the Ameobis will likely play, this is just the side I would put out personally.

Agree, but I think they have to leave really early for some reason.

But doubt we will because of African Cup and dont think Harps will play either.
Elliot dosnet really fill me with confidence. Played once against Forest and conceded afew easy saves. Hasnt done that well in reserves either, think he conceded 3 or 4 against Swansea reserves.

 

Jonas can't play both, he's clearly knackered and in need of a rest. He must be rested against Blackburn. Guthrie is back for QPR. Vuckic will probably start against Blackburn. Ba said he isn't leaving until after the QPR game so we might aswell play him against Blackburn while he's still here. Get our use out of him. Pardew also said that he will refuse to let Tiote go until the last possible moment because Yaya Toure is staying at Man City to play in there derby and Pardew said "If Yaya Toure doesn’t go, why should Cheik go? We’re all in the same boat." So Tiote will likely play in both.

I want us to play full strength in cup

 

I know Blackburn aren't exactly the best but I think we'd still need to play 11 players against them

 

Bit generous to only name 10 players

I would definitely play Tiote and Ba if they're available for the cup game, wasnt certain of the situation though.

 

I think everyone would like to see us play full-strength and attack the cup, and we probably will if we make it to later rounds, but the fact of the matter is, this is our 3rd game in 8 days. We cannot play a full-strength team having just played Liverpool and Man United.

 

Jonas has poor fitness and I would put vuckic in for him. Why not give moyo or someone in the reserves a chance?

 

oops haha. Throw in Shola or Best.

 

Moyo's a little bit far down the pecking order (not even a starter in the reserves), Sammy/Fergie would be ahead of him, and we'd probably play a senior player out of position before playing him so soon. Also, Jonas must be one of the fittest players in the team, and he wouldnt necessarily play the 90 minutes in both games.

 

Just a straight swap for Benny and Santon at left back for me. Right mid put Jonas there or Raylor,.

Definitely would like to see Abeid and Ferguson against Blackburn.

 

Got to give them a chance, getting beat 2-0 at the moment and need all the help they can get.
