    IF we beat Wigan


    and

    IF Man U beat Newcastle

    then its down to 6 points, not that anyone cares.

    IF we beat Wigan, Hey this is Sunderland Football Club we're talking about and you know how many times we've shot ourselves in the foot over the years but let's hope this isn't one of those times huh.

    I can see us both drawing to be honest. Our lad's will be shattered after yesterday's heroic's, Man U have alot of injuries.

    Not too bothered about coming ahead of Newcastle but "IF" we can be safe by early April it'd be a tasty challenge to go for. I think both side's form will slowly revert to "Normallity".

    Don't want to be a right doomonger today after a brilliant result but like Malone mentioned, when did we have back to back wins in the Premier League, under Keane I believe? Just think given how nackered the players will be and our lack of any sort of defence currently (Having 3 un-fit goalkeepers doesn't help either) then I'll take a point now.

    dont think the players will be to tired like and im quite confident of a win the team seem to be on a massive high and the games cant come quick enough imo...

    last back to back wins in the PL

    1st Jan 2011 Blackburn H 3-0
    5th Jan 2011 Aston Villa A 0-1

    and before that is was April 2010, so yeah its a rare sight for us, but it has happened recently (ish)

    Maybe that's an omen.Back to back wins in the first two games of January last year.
