An apology to Tash

Earlier today, I was reading last nights posts when i saw a very entertaining thread which had Tash moaning about the lack of Mods around at 2:30am news years eve/morning. Set me thinking about how much time the lad spent on the forum. This led me to put up the Tash poll , which i see has been pulled ( on my return from the pub about 30 mins ago).
Then on reading about Tash's departure, I'm gutted that i might have been responsible in some small way to his fragile state of mind that led him to ASK to be deleted as a user.

The poll was genuinely put up for fun. If it has been mis-interpreted, I'm sorry.

On this forum we all get stick for things we post ( me and NufcBano won "whingers "of the year awards in a recent post)....do i care? No.........but I'm forgetting others are younger and perhaps more sensitive.

AS Newcastle supporters, we're part of a very large family/network. We all love being on this forum ( I post no-where else) and i would hate to upset anyone.

So, Tash. Knowing you, you will read this , so I want you to know, for all your enthusiasm, passionate posting and the ability to come out with pretty random sh*t sometimes, I for one want you to reconsider your retirement. Your not going to be missed elsewhere like you will be on here.

The poll was maybe a tad harsh for some people, but we all know you weren't being malicious and I think it was another users comments which sent him packing. Tbh Tash was being a bit sensitive and I can't see him being away long.

 

I'm sure he'll be back with us soon. It's like you say, a family kind of thing. He belongs on here.

He's a good lad, but knowing him he'll be reading all these threads about him. I can't imagine him being away long, unless he plays the true martyr and remains as a guest, reading all the threads that are dedicated to his 'greatness'.

 

It wouldn't have been just the one thing that upset him, looks like a combination of events have got on top of him.

 

I think most people knew that the poll was in jest really. I just feel that because he gets targeted quite a lot (sometimes deservedly), he seems more sensitive to things others wouldn't be as sensitive about.

 

Haha no need to apologise that thread was quality, it was just abit of banter, he dishes it out alot if not the most on this board so he has to expect to get it back sometimes!

 

Hope he reads this stuff and comes back, he is integral to the boards.

True, seems a nice enough kid, maybe a little over-sensitive at times.

 

He did over react to the racist guy yesterday, but as I said last night and I saw mentioned on the Sunderland board today maybe the Newcastle mods should have power to delete threads off this thread wherever the main site for the post is.

 

We need some Maury Povich up in this place.

Was that Geordieboy1990? I didn't see those posts as they'd been deleted by the time I logged on.

However, the same twat had sent me an offensive pm at 1.44am. Again I read it many hours after the event, but I noticed that he had sent the same message to Tash and 5 Goals (group send). Tash may well have been reacting to that. If he was upset I can't say I blame him.
