Nobody in the world is £84m (no, not even Messi and Ronaldo, £84m is a ridiculous number) but he is a very good player, certainly counts as a success out of the J League, no?
i would say messi and ronaldo are invaluable as there are no better players around, so it probably take an excess of 100m to actually stand a chance in getting them
I wasn't having a dig at our scouts, just the people that think seeing a player pull off skill on a 2min YouTube vid makes them world class. Plus until we have signed him or not it's all hear say. We may not be even after him knowing how Cortese etc conduct their business.
Doesn't make them worth it though! It wasn't aimed at you - of course you can't judge a player off a Youtube video. Unless it turns out you actually can in which case let's go sign Lee Trundle! It was more aimed at the people who are slagging off J-League and saying it isn't a good signing. But indeed it is all hear say.
I don't think so.What does Ronaldo do in big games and tournaments?F*** all. Against Barça he was terrible. In euro's and world cups he is shocking aswell. Silva has improved his game so much since he first he arrived at city, brilliant passer of the ball, can shot, dribble.Very, very good player. Out of the two(Ronaldo and Messi)only Ronaldo could play in the EPL at the moment, because Messi would find it very hard, just look at his goalscoring record against english clubs in England,I think it's 1 in 6 or something...I think he would get used to the english style of football like Silva has. I would put Messi 1st,Silva 2nd and Ronaldo 3rd but that's just my opinion.Next year Silva will be nominated for best player in the world,I think anyway.I might be wrong though.
