    The Football League Show
THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SHOW,The head of sport for the BBC is thinking of binning this program, as you all can see there has not been a highlights package for all of Christmas and the New year, which goes to show how much the BBC is interested in the lower leagues. Please could all fans get together and bombard the head of BBC SPORT with letters of support for this program, because we really do not want to lose it.

There is already a thread on this which I have explained why they won't have the show next year. I dont think the lack of show over the Christmas period is down to whether the programme is being dropped or not. It is more likely that Monday's no show will be contractual and no show last night as it was New Years Eve (low viewing figures - why bother?).

I think you should have done your research before posting this article everywhere, the BBC were outbid for the rights, the Football League highlights will be on Sky from next season, the BBC can't keep making the programme, they'd have **** all to show on it.

In Aus the Football League Show has always been on Pay TV so it is 'as you were' here.

Our domestic viewing audience is dominated by 3 Commercial networks and 2 Government networks on Free to View channels(No TV licence fee required) and attracts around 90% of viewers. There is zero cover of English Football or even the local Australian league on these channels leaving the field open to PayTV.
