What was going on at the end with Lennon and Gameshow? Internet's been playing up all night. Kept missing things. Also, what did Walter say?
walter said **** all in a long drony whiny way mcCoist said something to lenny and lenny went berserk
handbags at the end, surprising but I think Ally is playing into Rangers fans hands. He had accusations of being too 'pally' with Lennon by the faithful - and of course if you are getting beat and facing a huge amount of criticism the way to deflect it is to vent your anger in exactly the same way as your fans will on the streets in 15 minutes time.
I see what you’re saying, Pepe – and you’re probably right – although I find that I manage to avoid feeling any particular worry when I consider their plight. I would love to see a British league, however. That would be mental. I can’t imagine Rangers or Celtic ever leaving the Scottish league, though. It just doesn’t seem likely to me – and I can’t think why the English would want them. I’m slightly torn: on the one hand, I get utterly pissed off when I hear (representatives of) Celtic and Rangers talk about being held back by the Scottish league - I just feel my nationalist hackles rise when it is suggested that Scotland is somehow not good enough for the Glasgow pair. And on the other, I can see that they’re quite right. They’re both just massive clubs, indecently far ahead (both financially and playing-wise) of the rest of the grunters and dribblers in Scotland. I absolutely long for the day that another team wins the SPL again. (Obviously, it would be just grand if that was Aberdeen – but they remain rooted in a most galling, life-sapping mediocrity.) No, I'm rambling, so I'll shut up. Take it easy.
You're on Skysports Hun: "Neil Lennon has obviously said something to Diouf" Presenter: "But Diouf walked half way across the pitch to confront Lennon?" Hun: "But aye it was Lennon egging him on!"
Looks like McCoist chose a bad time to remind Lennon about that threesome they had with Sue Barker. As Sue said at the time, "Don't worry Neil. It could've happened to anyone."
Man seriously you can't blame the ref. When they called for 5 minutes injury time I was cheering, I wanted another goal at least. Rangers didn't have a shot, it all boiled over and that's what happens in OF games - and I not only forgive but understand any player who behaves in such bollox. If I was on the pitch I'd be the same, as would you. I'd prefer the passion in the game. But still Rangers showed nothing more tonight, for me, than they showed in the previous three Old Firm games. The highlight as a Rangers supporter must surely be McCoist showing that he actually seemed to care.
Mick, I assume that was not directed to me? I never blamed the ref, as we don't do that! We never looked like scoring with 11 men, let alone 10 men...but, because we feel hard done by, I think that we will go on to give a huge effort to win the league.
As you know I'm a bookie. I was walking down to work on Sunday morning with our Scottish Football compiler (who isn't me) and I mentioned that 9/4 Rangers to win the league was big. All Rangers had to do was beat the diddys in hand and win at home and the league is in their hands. It may sound like a silly easy way to look at things, but Rangers are much better than the every other team in the league - as are Celtic. I said it on Sunday morning before we got out-passed by Motherwell. I will try to find excuses for Motherwell (**** pitch and no Kayal are top of my list) but the story is that these diddy teams will have some sort of say. Basically Rangers were never out of the league, and we should never be so arrogant to believe so unless there is a stupid point gap. I love Scottish football and if I wasn't a massive Celtic supporter I think I would have had to back 9/4 Rangers, I pointed it out to others so surely I would have backed it myself. Now I still make Celtic favs, as I have done most of the time along - but I''m thinking slight rather than massive as we were last weekend.
I would have to agree that you are favourites, but 10 days ago, I really thought we were ****ed, but now we are right back in the mix! The only thing is though, Celtic have the beating of us, but we have the beating of the "wee" teams, but some of the "wee" teams have the beating of Celtic...if that makes any sense?
Well that's exactly what I'm saying. It doesn't matter a lot that Celtic have the beating of you, you only have to play Celtic once, at Ibrox.
