The dilemma is this- When your team is winning do you play your strongest team every week to get maximum points on the board earlier on, or do you at some point start to rotate the players, so that when injuries and suspensions kick in, the reserves are kept fresh? My own view is that you don't change the back 5 but after 10 games you start to rotate the attacking players, within reason.
drop bwp for starters and play pritchard in that position see what he can do put bwp on the bench be up to him get back in the side
It is an interesting one FHB to my mind our form has slipped since we started tinkering with the introduction of Russell and Ephraim As someone else said on another thread we've really been pushing our luck since and including the Huddersfield game. Now I know that JJ's injury forced a change but it didn't force two! Hughes had been playing well and we've lost momentum since Russell and Ephraim came in. Tomorrow is a real dilemma. Green must come back but who else is knackered after playing essentially a whole game with ten men. Can Ephraim or Russell be arsed if we are not renewing their loans? Are they even eligible? Is our new signing eligible/fit? Can JJ manage two games quite so quickly after his return I worry about tomorrow. CP will earn his corn that's for sure. To me you only tinker when someone really needs a rest or a boot up the arse - BWP anyone? All of that said, we have a big squad and some potentially important players are not getting any game time. Evina being the most obvious. We might see him tomorrow and maybe Cort too. I'd play Pritchard and Hughes before either Russell or Ephraim.
Agree completely - Also if fit I'd drop BWP to the bench for Leon Clarke, maybe he's just starting to think he's the one name who'll be on teamsheet every week. A drop to the bench might be a wake up call to prove he's gonna have to work if he wants to score. How many games is Hamer suspended for?
i seriously if i was boss cash in on bwp hes obviously been tapped up by a championship club he hasnt been same since he scored last hes been moping around the pitch completly uniterested ,if i was cp i would swap bwp for billy sharp with 800k
Thank God your not CP then....think we've spotted your views on BWPJonathan. Can you please stop putting them in every goddamn post that you feel obliged to write. Ta.
Shut up JA - Ipswich had a £2.3m bid rejected for Billy Sharp in the summer so why would they accept one for £800k when in January all prices are inflated
sharp has a get out clause of 1,8mil so why not offer a swap deal involving sharp hes a quality player would do well at cafc
ia did u go yesterday???bloddy good atmosphere i really enjoyed myself apart from the result should go on more away games i think quite funny got an oi when i left and all the reliance drivers came over for a chat!horrible stand though did u have a good christmas ia sorry been busy with the baby last few days i wish everyone a happy new year will bounce back from this
No unfortunately I didn't make it. I live a fair bit away, so was thinking of heading down for the long weekend, but ended up feeling a bit rough yesterday. I had a nice Christmas, thank you. Hope you and the family did too.
yes it was fine the books moving on quite well this week waterstone looking at the book from next week but want more than 2000 copies in store which is good news !went to welling vs dartford and the orient gae very dissapointed in the performance it took me a few hours to calm down i was still hopping mad about it earlier this morning ,it was the way we gave them so much space which i think annoyed me the most!it was a bit ouch atmosphere with fighting breaking out between different sections of charlton fans is it always like this on away games?i hope we go on a 6 game unbeaten run again i think the players owe us that after yesterdays shocker.the baby doing fine grown since being born last week
