Lol, the bitterness is immense Did you celebrate the same way when Chelsea won the league in 2005? After all, they "knocked us off our perch" much faster than City have apparently done... Are you implying the Gooner is somehow deluded? Heresy!
Me too. Leaving your star player out of the squad when so many are injured. I can see him turning out like Clough at the end of his career.
If Rooney is sold now he will go for serious money. Whereas back then he could walk away for free. That's business.
Don't you remember when Liverpool "gangsters" threatened to kidnap Gerrards family if he moved to Chelsea?
Cos every club faces the same problem of players wanting the highest salary possible. Fact is Rooney is worth what we decided to play him, just the same way Gerrard was worth the extra wages Liverpool had to offer him in 2005 to persuade him not to go to Chelsea, although the threats to break his legs and kill his family probably played a role in that as well. Players have a huge amount of power no matter what the club nowadays. Nasri, Meireles, Rooney, Torres, Tevez, Gerrard and any number of other players all get the wages they want, either from their existing club or from the club they move to if they are sold. And comparing Utd's fortunes after they kept Rooney with Liverpool's fortunes after they sold Meireles or Arsenal's fortunes after they sold Nasri shows that selling the player often isn't the best decision from the club's point of view...
Been hearing that for the past 10 years. Change the ****ing record, unless you're another one of those idiots who loves being proven wrong.
They repeat the same doomsday message and perhaps one they'll be right. Hell even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
I brought up the fact that bacon face left out your best player, cutting off his nose to spite his face. So it is about fergie you tit!
'city have knocked you off your perch' Hmmm. Last time I checked Utd are reigning champions and joint first in the league.
