QPR face a crunch decision over Adel Taarabt – as Al Sadd are willing to meet his £15million valuation.

The Moroccan midfielder has struggled to live up to the hype he built up last season and has been angling for a move away from Loftus Road.

Rangers owner Tony Fernandes recently claimed he would not be sold but Qatari moneybags Al Sadd – who recently played against Barcelona in the World Club Cup – are willing to pay top price and that could tempt QPR to reconsider their stance.

Hate to say it but it would represent great business if true. Really hopes he stays with us or at least in a top league. He won't fulfil his potential in Qatar.

Have to admit...from the club's point of view, 15million would be too much to turn down.
BUT.....for Adel's future, it would be a massive mistake, although I'm sure his advisers will tell him to go!!
Would be a real disappointment for me not to watch him anymore!!

Agreed. But to the modern day footballer its money that talks.
Eto is a prime example, a great talent playing his wares in something-stan but happily earning 300k a week

For me, it depends where Adel's mind is at. If it's already left LR and it's just a case of taking body with it, then take the best offer asap and use the cash well in the Transfer window.

After Spurs take their cut it leaves £9 million, hopefully all added to whatever the kitty was before this deal materialised, that is assuming this is a kosher deal...

Big difference in that Eto has had his day and has played at the highest level all over Europe he can afford to play a year or two for money and is still young enough to come back into any side in the world!!

Dont think age or experience comes into it...as i said money talks. And if Adel can get 10 times what he would get paid anywhere else by playing in a crap league in Qatar in front of 2000 or so people he is gonna go. Short sighted when it come to his career but by monatary standards a great move and he could be set for life.

He would be suited to the lower standard out there as he was in the Championship, apart from the buckets of money it would be a chance for him to be the big fish in the little pond again...

Okayyy! £9m to us. A QPR star to Qatar... Can't deny it's got a ring to it!

Any chance of getting a young-ish, fit, inventive attacking midfielder in during the sales?

9 million is nothing, who can we replace him with. We won't attract big players because we are a small club battling relegation? People have such short memories attitude or not we would have been mid table last season without his goals and assists.

No denying Taarabt's potential - but nine mil's a great return on someone who has made it clear he doesn't really want to play for us - and whose stock has shrunk considerably of late.
