Good to hear, because if there's one thing that I want a potential new striker to be, it is that. I'd never heard of Hernandez before United signed him, and he's quickly turned out to be the best poacher in the Premiership at present, in my opinion.

Japanese football is **** end of. He's playing a L1 standard and his goal scoring record is hardly outstanding. And he would make it in the PL? Dont make me laugh!
Japanese football is better than Latvian football and Pahars' scoring record wasn't much better. Hooiveld was playing rarely in SPL which is mostly league one level, otherwise he was playing in Finland and Sweden which are hardly world renowned leagues, and look how well he's doing. Rickie at his age was playing at L1 standard with a similar scoring record. Let him play before you write him off like that.
Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda are two that spring immediately to mind as brilliant players from J League. Granted neither are there now but both played there for a while before coming to Europe.
Adkins says that they are working on bringing 1 or 2 new players in, but that most business is done at the end of the window (as he said last time). Think we might as well sit back and relax...probably no news for a while.

I think that is a slight smokescreen - I think we will try to do our business early. The reason is that targets are already identified and will have been approached , although I agree best deals are done later, we are (whether we admit it or not) in a bit of a slump in form and this will be one way to address it. I do not believe NA will sign someone as a knee jerk reaction but he may wish to conclude our business earlier as a result...
