"We're **** and we know we are".

What can we do to turn it around, realistically with the means available to Grayson?

I honestly think we can do Burnley tomorrow. Always beat them. But we have to solve our problems up front and at the back, and it's hard to place what concrete steps SG and the lads need to take to improve. Any of you brainboxes got the formula to get us back to something resembling last season's pacey play?

im really struggling to see how we can get back to where we were, I didnt see the game, nor did i listen to it (too busy out celebrating new years could be the reason why) but i think there are far too many positions where we are struggling and i hate to be all anti-grayson all of a sudden but the team that played against barnsley were all of his signings or players he has given debuts, snodgrass and howson (who are probably our most creative players) didnt play and he didnt sign them, I think his bad signings have caught up with him to be honest.

You say we need to sort out the attack and the defence, what about the midfield? Playing too many liabilities is the issue i feel. Now im assuming we played 4-5-1 and playing Brown alongside a player who in all fairness isn't a CM and Vayrynen who has hardly played at all this season just seems like movements of a manager that doesnt know what to do to fix the problem, playing nunez above sam as well seems like a desperate move. Dropping clayton as well, i know he hasn't been playing well but when you are losing isn't the time to drop the most creative player you have available to you. I said the time that clayton shoulda been dropped and that was when we were winning to rotate the squad a little but now again seems like a desperate move.

In short, I think grayson is getting desperate and i've gotta be honest, if we lose against burnley I can see him getting sacked

To be honest your pretty bang on there son, Im not a great believer in shifting managers mid season, but I have to say if we are going to get anywhere then Grayson has to go, and NOW, howson was a massive loss, snodgrass is just as big a loss, nobody to fill there voids !!! and simon does not have a clue what formation he wants to play !!, If he stays then so be it ! I for one am LEEDS through and through I will continue to support and back the lads no matter what. But today I feel sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Barnsley seriously !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M.O.T

Tomorrow is the make or break game for me. Rubbish performance against what will be a good opposition, & SG will get the sack. A bit more commitment & effort, regardless of the result & he'll see out the season. Unfortunately, I can't see us putting in a creditable performance. That said, the TW is now open. So who knows what the team will be or do tomorrow.

I was at the game yesterday, and our best player was michael brown! he was the only guy who put a challenge in throughout.

And the fact grayson didnt change the team around when 2-0 down was litterally our own downfall! he brought like for like on and the shape still stayed the same! utter garbage, they dealt with us easily all game!

But yet i hear the crowd singing theres only 1 simon grayson and 90 minutes later, were all giving it charlie big potatoes online! you either want him here or ya dont! simple

So no suggestions for how we can turn it around then? I think everyone knows what the problems are.

    <ok>

I said after the Derby and Reading games that there's something I like about him of late.

You keep saying this and I have to ask when were we winning? I mean when have we strung more than two back to back wins together?? I can't remember winning 3 on the bounce...

Not against us they're not. Barnsley genuinely do see us as their cup final and look 10 times better than they normally do whenever they play us. They'd lost their last three quite embarrassingly before we turned out. Players like Perkins who usually have **** all to offer were mauling us yesterday, putting seven men behind the ball and pressing and it was their pace that was our real undoing with Vaz Te and Davies. Burnley don't offer anything like that, just the one-dimensional Treacy and Rodriguez. I'm not that worried. Sad though that I'd be happy with a point tomorrow just for the sake of turning a corner.

Are you just going on the fact that they turned you over yesterday?

Don't think we need a formula as such. We just need to make sure we use this window to get back on track.

We might actually get Puncheon on loan this time (QPR need to be looking at far better players to stay up). Then someone like Townsend from Spurs would hopefully fill the howson role which might get Clayton going again.

Snodgrass is only out for a few games and 1 of them will be the cup.

Get rid of the players who don't get a sniff including AOB and and bring a couple of defenders in and Keogh another similar striker.

It shouldn't take that much to get going again and scoring and let's not forget that even our leaky defence still got us in the top six.

I still think that realistically a top six finish is a great achievement given our resources compared to other clubs.

For me, a way to fix it would be to get a new manager. Someone with new ideas, which could lift the atmosphere at the club. I think the support for Grayson has dipped a lot this season. Last season was a less pressured one for the team, because we'd just got back in the Championship and we didn't expect to be chasing promotion, plus we had Gradel, Watt, Snodgrass, Howson playing, attacking football so there was a feel good factor. But this season, the fans expect a proper challenge for promotion, and the poor transfer window at the start of the season, with Gradel and Schmeichel leaving, and a bunch of loans and fews coming in, meant that the atmosphere at ER was bad.

SG has shown time and time again that he cannot fix this defence, and that includes getting new players. He's paid money for Bruce and Bromby, high wages on AOB, thought Kisnorbo was worth a new 2 year deal, and has potentially 2 loans in O'Dea and Pugh playing there that would cost money too. He has chosen these players and I think it's down to coaching that the defence is so bad.

I'd like to see a new manager, and someone like Killgallon signed (he's available, and is a good player at this level) to help shore up the defence. A bit of pace added upfront and on the wing as well.

I simply don't think Grayson has the ability to build a promotion winning team. He's had resources available (maybe not a lot) and it's a myth that he hasn't spent anything. We haven't broke the bank like Leicester, but we have a high wage bill and he spends on loans.
