On putting in a worse performance than Simon Walton, I didn't think that was possible. Fair play to you. Now **** off.
Come on, he wasn't THAT bad! He even managed to finally put a decent cross in the last few mins, (admittedly the only good thing he did all game). It was quite alarming how stagnant and immobile we looked down that wing without Rosy though. Lack of strength in depth could become a big problem for us.
I was following the game on the BBC web site and it seems Mc Shane was in goal, as they kept saying the following. 71:14 Martin Paterson takes a shot. Save by Paul McShane. This was not the only time it said this.
i've just got back from what was a miserable afternoon in the ****hole that is Burnley. What paul McShane is doing in this league, never mind in our team, i dont know. He is terrible and sorry but koren, how the hell did he not even get it on target he was 8 yards out . We need cover at RB and some fire power in the window so bring in billy sharp i say. UTT
i commented yesterday, i thought he was ok, not terrible, i was wrong, nobody who cant trap a football should be allowed to call themselves a professional footballer.
I don't rate Mcshane but it would have been hard for him in first game back in the first team, still you'd expect a bit more for somebody on his Premiership wage, even I can trap a ball and I'm out of breath walking ten feet
Well tbh i defended him and i seriously regret it. His positioning was god damn awful he was trying to be everywhere and ended upnowhere. I would even have considered Garcia at RB ahead of him....
I think it's hard being out for 6 months and then coming back in a really tough game and as usual playing out of his natural position. He isn't good enough but I think the criticism should be aimed at the fact we haven't enough proper cover, not at the usual scapegoat that is Paul McShane.
I agree with not scapegoating but I think we mostly have low expectations for Mcshane no matter what, doesnt help if he meets them
The window opens in 3 hours and 58 minutes....I trust that the phone bill from HCAFC will increase sharpish....A new keeper...One who can communicate with his colleagues and speak English would be a nice start...McShame can follow him out of the building pronto..
Unfortunately, I think his only natural position is 'laid down'. If the game today was a trial to get into my veterans Sunday league team, he wouldn't have got in. Bearing in mind the fact that they actually let me play on occasion, that's a damning indictment. I never want to see him in a City shirt again. I realise some people think he gets a raw deal and that it's not his fault that he's not very good and he'll run through brick walls etc etc etc, but the fact is, he's a ****ing useless footballer and we've paid him £4m in wages so far, as far as I'm concerned, however nice a bloke he is, he can take his wedge and **** off.
