Well after getting back from the game and actually having time to think about the game rather than being frustrated with it at the time.

    - Goalkeepers - Whatever is said about the goal both where in the wrong, there was no communication between him and the defence. Also another fault of both keepers was the distribution out of decence, the defence as well where poor at this, i agree some of this was down to Rosenior missing , but the defence and goalkeeper where poor moving out of defence as usual.

    - Movement - This is for the whole side, their was such a lack of movement today. Even Stewart didn't make his usual runs. The team really didn't until Garcia come on make any good runs. Koren was in such space at times in the first half but due to lack of movement we had to use Dawson so much as he was the only one who actually made them. It was Stewart's worse game for a while but he will come back better.

    - Balance - Whether you rate Mclean or not he is not a winger. Why we keep playing him there is beyond me. He drifts in creating such a lack of space and narrowing the whole pitch up. It is not his fault as he is not a winger but it is something that ruins the system. I know one of the new signings should solve this but i do feel sorry for Mclean. And to be fair to Mcshane in the first half he really did have no protection from Mclean.

    - Freshness - The team just looked so laboured today. Stewart especially looked as if he neeeded a rest, but most of the team looked as if they was in need of one. Lets hope we have some fresh faces for the Derby game. If not i think we should rest basically the whole team against Ipswich.

    - Man of the Match - Paul Mckenna, He keeps improving, he rotates possesion so well, he looked as if he was the only who was trying to find a ball and make space.

Well just my thoughts, but at the end of the day we are still in the top 6 and if we can make some good signing we are still in with a chance of getting the play offs! So many of the problems we have such as finding the back of the net could really have being solved in the summer. I think we could all see we need a striker in the summer but nothing was done. Even the lack of depth should of being sorted in the summer not January.

The problem was he wans't willing to make the run beyond the full back or defence, i was hoping that we would maybe try and push him upfront in hope that he maybe able to get beyond the last defender more than Fryatt does.

I thought our performance today was ok, apart from three notable exceptions: 1) Poor MacShane seemed frightened of making a mistake whilst trying to fit in to a totally different style of play to that he last played in. Unfortunately, the longer the game went on, the further his confidence dropped. He's probably played his last game and I personally hope he finds a secure place somewhere at Centre Half and continues to have a great Euro Champs; 2) Gulatchi needs to learn some English or at least be more confident to bark out some commands to his defence. He needs to learn that those defenders are indeed his and direct from the back as such. Sadly, I doubt he has the confidence or the English communication skills to do this; and 3) As bad day's go in front of goal, this was one of our worst. Somebody soon is going to get a hiding.

Further to this, and at the risk of disturbing the great passing game we now play, we do often seem to be taking another short pass when a cutting through ball is required.

Yes a frustrating day, but still a pleasure to watch the football we are playing these days when I think back to some of the crap that has been served up over the past 10 years!

    You to!

And i agree Mussie, i said this at the time that communication was the problem, it's his area he has to deal with it. And i thought today we wasn't patient enough at times actually we didn't pass it around enough, if the balls we where trying where through balls to stewart to run onto, okay i would understand. But we tried little flicks when controlling and looking up would of being far better.

How can we possibly know whether Gulacsi called or not? None of us would have heard it either way.

    1. You normally do hear calls tbh....
    2. Hobb's reaction was plain to see that he didn't, because if i was Hobbs if my keeper called i would definately head it back to him!

Peter Gulacsi goalkeeping error cost City a 0 - 0 draw at least and some very wasteful finishing cost City the win.

Whats erks me most about it all is that City could be at least 3rd now after the 2 festive games. But On the plus side City are still only 8 points off top spot with still 22 games - 66pts left to play for.

It was not all bad as TWS got smashed and Lesta messed up again. Indeed its not really as bad as some so called fans would have you beleave. lol. Happy New Year. The Window Is Now Open :emoticon-0116-evilg

Having heard Gulasci on the radio before the Millwall game his English actually seemed pretty good, but it's not the first time his communication with his defenders has cost us. Sounds like Macca did nothing to stop Rosenior coming back in and retaking his place in the team. Annoyingly we've lost 6 points against Burnley when we should really hav taken given the chances we created in both games and we should have taken 4 or 6 points from the festive games. Aside from the Leeds debacle nobody has gven us a good hiding and we've dominated large spells of games with little to show for our dominance at times. This time is crying out for a good and consistent finisher to put away the chances we keep creating.
