To be fair, we have a bit of a history. Won something like 20pts last season after the 85min mark of games. We just don't go away.
dave, if i physically could i would!!! i'll try to for sure. Maybe i'll try a yellow and green cocktail, a mohijto has mint in it! what i will do is drink three times the quality than normal - i.e nice beer, some Champers and some nice red wine wine (rather than bog standard). Finish off with a nice glass of quality single malt <whisky> to all - what a finish to a VINTAGE year
A point against Fulham is decent. They are a very talented side that were representing our country in Europe this season. You don't qualify for europe without being a good side, even if it is the Europa league!
I thought the first half showed us to be quite shaky and we were lucky not to be 3 down. The second half was a LOT better and we had a bucket full of shots that on a better (or luckier!) day would have snuck in. I have to say that Morrison worries me slightly, he seams a bit lazy and is often running up the wing and getting in a muddle instead of getting in the box and using his talent. On a final and positive note...what a clever bit of trickery from Bennet to get away from the defender and whip in a beautiful cross which Jacko did brilliantly to score and save us a point!
We definatley deserved a draw! Now we beat QPR at their place and send them into the relegation zone. Worrying 2 games now that Morrison hasn't been much much impact and Holt for how much he played in both too, and we lose 2 - 0 to Spurs without ever looking close to scoring and then Swansea go and get a 1 - 1 draw! Should probably start Jackson against QPR, 2 goals and he's only had a few sub appearances.
My team for QPR (injury permitting) Ruddy Naughton Ayala R. Martin Tierney Bennett Johnson Hoolahan Pilkington Holt Jackson Whitbread making errors and Morison needs a break.
If someone had told me that at the end of the year we would be in the top half, I would have taken their hand off. Well done lads. Keep it going.
Well done guys. You kept the faith till the last minute and got rewarded... In addition you played well. Our ******s have not learnt their lesson yet. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Looked composed today. I get the feeling Lambert highly rates Whitbread, so I doubt that as long as he's fit he won't drop him.
If we hadn't got that goal we'd all have been really disappointed so its a decent point. I was impressed by Ayala though seemed composed and knew when move forward and when to pass, real test will come against a more attacking team so forward we look. OTBC
What will the back four be next game? I know nobody will ever second guess PL. Tierney is a must if he's fit and Naughton did enough today to warrant a return to right back instead of having to turn the ball back onto his good foot like he had to today. Russell MArtin has played out of his skin as a defender and is useful at set pieces as is Whitbread, although he is mistake prone. And Ayala did indeed lookcomposed without having to endure too much pressure against an unambitious Fulham side. I would go for Naughton Martin Ayala Tierney as that one hasn't been tried yet has it?
I think that today proves we must start bennett and pilks on there respective wings from the off! They are real talents, theyve shown it when they were playing earlier in the season and they showed it again today. i know pilks started off abit sluggish but as the game grew so did he and bennett was top notch when he came on.
agreed there, bennett's assist must mean he is knocking on the door for a starting place QPR's defence is about as good as ours, we need to attack on Monday!
I think Lambert tried to start with a 4 5 1 to keep it tight, it didn`t work as we conceded in the first 10 minutes, Jacko has to start after the last 2 games but i would still rather keep Holt on the bench as an impact sub... He really scares opposition defenders just with his presence... QPR are scared of us and if we go at them for the last 30 min`s i expect a victory... Hopefully a Barton red card too....
as soon as pilks started on the right and surman on the left i knew it wouldnt work out. as soon as pilks went onto the left and bennett came on the whole game changed!
''Jackson's header was his first goal of the season after 13 goals in the Canaries promotion from the Championship last term'' from the BBC report of the game - POOR research, he scored against wolves last week
