So long as theres no trouble here I'm happy. There will be the odd tiff here and there but thats only natural when you put a group of passionate fans together. This place has an ignore function, an easy way not to see people who you may dislike, simples.

That's useful. Although I think it may have been better to call it 'other motorsports', seeing as people still ask for rallying, etc, and there isn't the traffic for it to need a dedicated forum.
Sorry to butt in but can I make a few points. We are not 606 and our only link to 606 is that a lot of 606 users are coming over here because 606 is closing down so all the talk about 606 this and 606 that is redundant. We try to be a broad church and find a home for most, the F1 board is to talk F1. If you like swearing and abuse we have after hours, general chat and the chatbox. The ignore facility is a self mod tool. All that said we will get people who have one aim, to disrupt and spoil. They will be banned and yes we know they will open a fresh account, and be banned. If they keep on opening accounts we will ban the IP address. So far a few have tried and they get sick before we do but its sad because they could stay, go on after hours and abuse all they like. The F1 board will close if good posters stop using it, it will never be closed because a small minority try to close it.
You need the forum to be able to carry itself a bit though, and thrive off discussion as well as fact. F1 forums manage to keep busy over the winter period, despite not a lot of true news, there isn't the same number of MotoGP fans on here to keep that going, so anyone who does consider joining may be put off by this.
Someone should post a link to that forum on 606. Worth a shot. We need time before that gets traffic through
