Liverpool defender Danny Wilson has today joined Championship side Blackpool on loan. The 20 year old, who signed for the Reds from Glasgow Rangers in July 2010, has signed a youth loan, which will keep him at Bloomfield Road until the end of the season. Wilson becomes the second Liverpool player to make a temporary move to Blackpool this season following on from Jonjo Shelvey's successful period there earlier in the campaign. We all saw how well Jonjo Shelvey did at Blackpool earlier in the season so hopefully Danny can perform well and come back next season a better player and hopefully start pushing for a first-team place. Your thoughts?
Nah, to risky with our defenders fitness records. This is great for Wilson. I think he has potential and has just been a little unlucky that every one else has done so well. But we will get a better chance to see him now to.
Agreed, Coates should be loaned out to Bolton to replace Cahill. I do actually rate Wilson as a defender. But don't think he will ever get a decent look in here.
We have Carra and Kelly who can play there, I just don't want him to go stale after such an awesome year for him. Needs to continue to play, not just reserve games for me.
That back four has kept Kelly out of the line-up as well, completely forgot about that! Do you think Wisdom could be a covering option or still too young?
To young imo but Kelly and Carra is enough cover, I would let Coates settle in the area and be around the squad for a season before loaning.
