    What you talking about?

People high up in the IRA were raking it in during the Troubles. Millions was being donated from the US alone as well as fundraising across europe & beyond plus cover charities being set up to proft from McDonalds tins, add to that how many weapons wer being donated by Libya, NORAID& the like.

They don;t have a salary from Britain. They get paid via the N.Ireland executive for which they sit in.

They never got a salary from westminster & never will.

Thats still the aim old man

Rome wasnt built in a day

Im pretty sure the IRA (nope not that one) used a war to get Britain to the negotiating table once before - over time they were given a political status - overtime they were given a principality status - overtime it became a seperate republic

You could say history is repeating itself.

Remember in the 1970's and 80s (**** me up to about 2 years ago) Ian Paisely wouldnt shake an IRA mans hand now HIS party shares government with them

This powersharing isnt ideal - its not the ultimate goal but its a step there. The IRA men now make decisions as to the future of NI - thats a real defeat they suffered!! its been nearly 900 years - whats another 10?

If we check Gerry Adams' paypacket I think you'll find he;s paid by the N'Ireland executive....which as Anport points out gets its money from tax payers in N.ireland.

Just ploughed my way through 121 posts of this and it hasn't gone anywhere, and even nearly stayed on topic apart from LR brief excursion into amputee porn.
Question - If there's nothing to all this religion crap, why do the three most powerful (probably) religions all claim the same place in Jerusalem to be their most holy/ iconic site ? Answers in a sealed envelope please <ok>
