What I meant was, NW has a tricky job choosing the right players to keep us up in a notoriously difficult transfer window.
I think decisions re transfers over the next month will define our season - do you get available players in quickly (the Zamora's and Johnsons) and perhaps miss out on something better, or do you wait and negotiate on the better players, risking failing and finding that the other targets have been snapped up by other, competing clubs. Hope Mrs Warnock is ready with the glass of sherry and foot massage each night...
Given that he was not on the bench today, that would suggest he is being loaned out somewhere. A loan spell might give him some fresh impetus that he needs, albeit the spell he had at Sampdoria last season didn't work out well for either him or them.
I think he has go out on loan. Look at what going to Bolton did for Daniel Sturridge who's now looking like a great player for Chelsea.
That was more down to Sampdoria selling their only creative outlet as Macheda was brought in, than anything else.
Maybe having a spell working with such world class strikers as DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd could only be good for his development, no?
We need more than someone to hassle defences. The way we are playing at the moment we need a C/F who will hold the ball up beat 3 defenders and score 2 goals a game.
Sounds like someone who may shortly be exiting our stable. Oh how things have changed from when Neil took vacation time in Morocco to try and convince AT to join us.
Has been formally agreed now. Announcement on Monday. Mixed feelings about this. He'll have something to prove so may come good like Welbeck did.
Give the lad a chance. People keep saying United wouldn't let him go if he was any good, but the fact is he's still a Man Utd player and there's a reason for that - Fergie obviously sees something there. If he didn't, surely he would have been shipped out on a permanent deal by now?
According to Wikipedia he's signed on a six-month deal and has "a clause in his contract that states if he can find Neil Warnock's eyebrows he will receive a £5k bonus." Wikipedia is about as reliable as our pal Cerny Berny.
