didnt palarse do it a few years ago when had dowie in charge if i recall they where lower at the time
( can't be bothered to do the research ) but I seem to recollect (not that long ago), a team who were bottom of championship ( or whatever it was called then ) at Christmas - went onto gain promotion that season.

I don't think Palace did, the only one I remember is Roy Keane taking over at Sunderland when they were bottom and he took them to top of the league. It wasn't at the the New Year though. EDIT: I'll like to add that Bristol City are selling their best striker next month His contract runs out in 6 months and they want to cash in.
