Very even, very scrappy, BC got their chance and took it.

    It just wasn't our day.

    Onwards and upwards <ok>

Thought this would be a well structured and fair post from a modest bristol city fan but alas no, shame when a lot of us show great humility in defeat. Ah well.

City came and tried to play. We did ok but they took their chance and won; fair enough.

    Well done.

I thought that there was a great crowd for a Friday night and it was an exciting if not world class game of football to watch. I am sure City have lots of positives to talk about from today. Man of the match: for me it was Cisse even though he was subbed. Anyone else?

Cisse always gets subbed and the last few games when that has happened we have either fallen apart or conceded.

He is a big player for us IMO. we need him to get fully fit and stay that way.

He is clearly physical but he also seemed to spread the ball well. We did not play Hammond our most combative midfielder and I think we missed him. Finally I was impressed with Nyatanga who had a decent presence, although his passing was not always great. I think Carey was a bit cynical but the centre back pairing certainly gave Lambert no change.

"If not you could be looking at relegation tbh"

Why would a team who has easily beaten such a 'great side' from the 'top of the table' be relegated?

    "Why will we be?"

    See above!

What was your result sequence previous to this game?

Your team is only up for games against the big boys. Small club mentality xx

Let’s be honest guys, Bristol City were the better team today just like last time. They controlled the midfield and took their chances when they came along. The great thing about this league is that anyone can beat anyone. The perfect example is when we lost to Doncaster who was at the bottom of the league. At the end of the day I believe this will make use stronger physically and mentally for the game next week. Well Done Bristol but from a Saints piont of view let’s just forget about the result and look forward to the next year.

Fair play to Brizzle deserved the win tonight, really impressed with Adomoah(sp?), not so much Maynard (hope we don't sign him). I also thought we missed Hammond tonight and we were never going to do the calendar year unbeaten let's be honest, not the Saints way ;) Great 2011 though and if 2012 is half as good we're in for a treat <ok>

Great atmosphere from both sets of fans tonight and good banter between the 2, bar the idiots looking for a fight and throwing bottles of water (both fans).
