Can't really see Bristol City staying up this season, due to the fact that a season is about playing well against lots of teams, Not One. Best of luck next season in your local derby against the biggest supported team in Bristol.

Well, tall pines. I am glad I came back on here for a while, I'l be honest I wouldn't have if we'd lost. By coming back it has made it apparent that there are more than a few decent saints fan on here, and some have visited our board and been magnanimous in defeat. Bizarrely though, the others are just so arrogant its quite unbelievable. Southampton play very good football in the right way and should be lauded for it, but you have achieved nothing yet, we did the same ourselves on our return to this division and fell at the last hurdle, Cardiff and Leeds to name just a couple have came up short too. I wouldn't be counting too many chickens just yet because from what I have seen you aren't anywhere near the best side I have seen in this division.
No chickens counted here, mate. Some people have got ahead of themselves, it's true, and all clubs have their fair share of - shall we say - 'excitable' fans who get carried away and give it the large one. But we're only halfway through the season and a lot can happen yet (that said, I'll be disappointed if we screw things up and fail to be promoted). WUMs apart, I have all respect for people who support their local - or localish - sides and not take the easy option by following the likes of ManYoo (as a couple of members of my family, unfortunately, do). That applies as much to Pompey fans as much as BCFC and other fans. We (Saints) have done bloody well this season, far in excess of my - and most fans' - expectations - but we can't win them all and BCFC did well last night. That is not being patronising. Not counting chickens at all , to old in the tooth to do that as are most saints fans but it does show how jealous and sad people like yourselves are that feel they have to come on our board and talk total dribble. Grow up son

I was "over the moon" to win at St.Mary's last night but I hope Southampton go on to win promotion, 30,000 attendance, we can only dream about that, so with great support like that the Southampton public deserve top flight football.
