http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7402604/Macheda-set-for-QPR 95% certain according to his agent. Gaining some Premiership experience at another club could do him some good like it did for Welbeck and Cleverley.
Is he decent, Alot of paper talk going around about macheda , so if he does come to us. What can we expect?
Has potential...but do we need more than potential? I would think that Fergie would only let him come if we guaranteed him playing regularly and in that case I am not sure he that much better than what we have. Would be a good addition to a marquee signing, but if it happens I hope he does really well for us.
This He is capable of moments of magic (see his goal against Villa) but he can be frustrating. I think he has raw talent but hasn't shown enough of it so far.
Hope this is not true i'd be a bit unhappy if this is the calibre of player warnock thinks will keep us upp. What with the links to rose livermore and townsend im getting worried we'll just be paying loan fee's to fill up the bench. I rekon we must only bring in players that are better than what we have these sort of deals are the type you go for in the championship
if he was capable of producing more of this, then yes. But apart from this i havent seen much else from him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2QSsMLpVco&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Good move for Macheda if it does go ahead as he can then get valuable experience at another premier league club and hopefully he can get plenty of game time as he is not getting any at United.
No.no.no please no.I fear that he will be another punchoen. What does NW think he will do for us.If Fergie is sending him on loan with a poss move that says it all.
I really hope he is not seen as the answer. No real presence, strength or pace and most times hes come on hes looked very average.Cant we just get a big, quick friggin goalscorer??..GRRR
Score goals, apart from Helguson your strikeforce seriously sucks bawls. Loan moves are cheap and allow clubs like QPR to quickly patch a problem area in the team, even if it is a bit of a gamble.
I am surprised at the negative response to this lad coming. He is a developing talent and Fergie must see something in his future, which surely means something. I don't think a comparison to Puncheon is reasonable. Surely Machedo is more capable of hassling defence more than most other forwards we have now?? If he is coming then, to my mind, it throws severe doubt on the Defoe issue though utterly pleased to be wrong about that! On balance a positive move, especially if part of a structured approach to staying up, not if he is 'the' answer. Really hope we can get some changes in for Norwich. We need to win more of the games that we might be expected to and that is one of them. We need six wins and five draws so bring on Norwich, Wigan, Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton and hopefully Fulham and the odd surprise too.
I remember some Sunderland fans having a similar reaction when Welbeck went on loan there last season. They were singing his praises by the end of the season... And remember Macheda only turned 20 this August, so his presence and strength will still be developing. He's not at a starting PL level yet, but if he gets some consistent sub appearances he could come along very rapidly, and he gets some important goals off the bench.
Good words RTID, I'd rather have a player from one of the best teams in the world than a potential from the Championship or Div 1. I personally think we're getting very picky and above our station when we talk about potential signings.
Spot on. Comparing an unsettled player like Puncheon to a rising talent like Macheda misses the mark. He's also not like AT in terms of raw talent or lack of workrate (although our innately skillful one was making a concerted effort the other day). From what I've seen, he's pretty astute, has great feet and can finish. My reservations are that I reckon he'd need a run to show his best and you couldn't play him as a lone striker (and would fixing a two man strike force due to a loanee be the answer to our lack of goals).
No thanks! we need a PROVEN striker. The only way I would want him is as a squad player, but as a previous post said,Fergie writes into the loan agreement that his player will have to play! so for me this is a no no!
Apart from his wonder goal against Villa, I've always been disappointed when I've seen him. But, having said that, I haven't had much chance to watch him anyway and I also thought the same thing about Wellbeck and he's come on in leaps and bounds!! I think he looks a good player, with potential and I agree that we shouldn't get too picky, but is he the answer up front? NW has a tricky job ahead!!
Agree that NW has a tricky job ahead but it is NW + TF + AB + LM + AN Other Malaysian business people. Dream team going for it!!
