Glad somebody agrees on Tiote, I thought I was alone for a while there. I really don't think he's had as good a season so far this year as he did 2010, hopefully he'll get back some consistency soon though because when he's in form he's incredible.

Krul 4- Off par didn't really make any saves and got his angles wrong for Gerrard's goal.
Simpson 0- Doesn't even try blatantly wants out for more money, and at fault for at least both of Bellamy's goals.
    Colo 7- Didn't do a lot wrong.
Willo 7- Coped well with being constantly fouled by Carroll.
Raylor 4- Good cross for Cabaye's goal but struggled apart from that.
Obertan 3- Yet to see him play well.
Cabaye 7- Good game did well to score
Tiote 5- Didn't get booked so isn't banned, shouldn't have lost Gerrard for the 3rd goal
Jonas 4- Struggled for a while, could need dropping/resting for the Blackburn game.
Vuckic 4- Struggled and wasn't as dangerous as well all hoped.
Ba 6- Nuisance for the goal and was unlucky not to score when Skrtel made a good goal line clearance.

Santon 6- Did better than Raylor.
Ben Arfa 4- Marked out of the game.
Sammy 5- No impact not on long enough.

I think Simpson is better than sammy, so would have

    Krul
    Simpson, Willo, Colo, Santon
    Raylor, Cabaye, Tiote, Jonas
    Ben Arfa
    Ba

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon
    BenArfa Tiote Cabaye Gutierrez
    Best Ba

Ba is better when he has support. Best at least supports Ba. BenArfa just goes missing for large periods when asked to play the number 10 role. However he would be good on the right wing where he could run at people, use his skill, put in crosses or cut inside and shoot. Obertan is ****ing ****. So Ben Arfa on the right and Best upfront seems like the obvious choice to me if were going to persist with this 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 crap. We need to get with the times and change our formation to something more effective.

Thought Tiote had his best game today since coming back from injury to be honest. 80-something-% successful passes, 90-something attempted?

    Colo MOTM for me, definitely.

The problem for me? We never attacked. I would have been ecstatic with a draw but the fact is Pardew said we'd go there and attack for the win and we never did that. We had 1 good spell of possession and that was at the start of the 2nd half, and even then we just knocked it about just inside their half for about 5 minutes.

Bad tactics in my eyes. Very very poor on the wings, what has happened to Jonas? Starting to think Ben Arfa should be played there. Honestly think we could've done better with Best up front today if we're just going to ****ing hoof it.

Raylor had a bad game, and it highlights our need for a proper LB, but he still tried, even if he couldn't keep up.

Wingers need to be bought in January. Really could do with Marv back. I know he's not proven but at least he's not Obertan.

Danny Simpson looked out of his depth yesterday, he seemed to panic everytime the ball landed at his feet, no composure or concentration.

Anyone else think that we might have done better with Best instead of Vuckic?

2 men trying to win headers is better than one, and all we seem to do is kick it up to Ba, so might as well have used him

Right midfield is a real problem position. Obertan is awful, Sammy is far too raw, Ben Arfa would be too much of a luxury, even Marveaux seems a lot more comfortable on the left.
