He hasn't been anyway near the player he was last season this season. Whatever reason it is - Ramadan, injuries, having his head turned etc - he just hasn't been the same.
Very funny... Why would we want him? Lucas makes him look amateur, and we have good enough cover with Spearing.
Thought we played quite well today. Manufactured our usual bucket load of chances but actually put a couple away this time. Gerrard and Bellamy were brilliant - good to see the captain back and firing. Newcastle played nowhere near their best, though. I expect Newcastle to finish the season in the top 8 comfortably. See you at SJP people. YNWA
Very unhappy with our performance but can't take anything away from Liverpool. You were far better than us tonight and deserved both the win and the scoreline.
I agree. Spearing might have just cemented his place, at least in the squad. He needed a big game and delivered. I rate him quite highly. Last year when we were in the ****- he stepped up, and has continued to play well, debatable red aside.
Impressed with pretty much everyone in red, with the exception of Charlie Adam. His delivery is poor at the moment even when he's got time.Full backs stood out, Johnson very good.Oh,and no end product from Downing, again! Thought Collicini was solid for them.
To be honest, I don't think he'll go anywhere in January. The upside of his inconsistent form is that the big clubs may be put off. Didn't see anything wrong with it, or Colos.
Maybe Spearing was so ugly he actually found it offensive And you don't know what he tried to do. Looks like an honest attempt to win the ball from me and I'm sure from any neutral.
True and true I was clearing trying to WUM you!! it was very nasty though considering he could of easily pulled out of it.
Cabaye's challenge was bad. Borderline yellow/red imo. He was lucky. However I don't beleive that he was trying to break Spearings leg at all.
lol. He was ninja-esque. Know what you're saying, but did he not justify the ****-worthiness with his MOM performance?
