One thing I miss is tolerance of others having a differing viewpoint on players, games, tactics ...etc. One reason I have not been on here much (and why Carrabuh probably does not post anymore) is that often having an alternative stand point on a subject seems to mean to some that you are being negative. Does not mean you are not as passionate about the club as everyone else.
Blimey, what have I started? How about we open it up, and see who can come up with the best one? That way I won't spend the rest of the weekend, and probably most of next week, turning myself into a true internet nutter! For tonight, how about a FACT or two? In relation to a thread about selling Tierney for 150k: "comment by colu_mike (U6784278) posted Jan 15, 2011 Yeah it’s a fair deal and represents a modest 25k profit and takes another relatively high earner off the books. Will he be missed? I suggest that with Powell and Coker competing for the left back position we will be stronger in that area." Or, "comment by colu_mike (U6784278) posted Sep 24, 2010 Norwich will almost certainly follow Portsmouth into the financial abyss with Bowkett and McNally’s irresponsible financial management. IMHO clubs living beyond their means, like Norwich, are swindling a false position in the league." You've got to say, so far, he's not lost his touch.
I found this from PC, you could say it was a PC Plum! Colu Mike Player Profile Norwich City by PoliticalCanary SAVE 606 (U1439179) 31 March 2010 Date of birth: 01/10/1992 comment on the article Colu mike was scouted almost entirely by accident, having slipped through the net on several occasions by failing to turn up to trials with larger local clubs such as Southend and Maldon. Luckily Paolo of Essex, manager of Colchester 606 WUM F.C, stumbled across young Colu while walking home from the off license one afternoon in 2008. Colu was arguing with a lollypop lady who had told him that he must wait on his moped while children crossed the road. Paolo recalls that fateful day: Gor blimey guvna, I was walking home from the old offie with me bag of chips and a can of special brew, and I 'eard this awful racket! Going proper mental 'e was! So I went over to him and I says awwight guv, u fancy a spot of wumming? And the rest is history. The highlight of Colu_mikes career as a professional WUM came in 2009, when just one year into his 3 year contract he managed to ruin every single thread in a 24 hour period on the NCFC 606 board, however controversy followed later that day. While out celebrating Colchester United's greatest single moment (a 7-1 victory over giants Norwich City), and under the influence of four cans of lager-shandy and a bag of Haribo tangfastics, Colu Mike crashed his moped into a for sale sign in Colchester town centre. After lengthy talks with manager Paolo, Colu Mike promised to make amends by spending the next month of his contract bombarding the NCFC 606 forum with fictitious information about the FDC meeting and fabricating regulations stipulating a One Million point deduction. Colu Mike then took a back seat for much the middle part of the 2009/10 season until the return fixture against Norwich City at the Weston Homes Community Stadium arrived. Confident of repeating the sensational victory earlier in the season, Colu Mike resumed his wumming activities, however disaster struck when, at 4-0 down, Colu mike decided to run onto the pitch in an attempt to attack the Norwich City supporters. The match finished 5-0. Colu Mike has remained relatively quiet since that time, and there are rumours that Paolo may be willing to offload the young wummer to a lower league outfit due to financial constraints at their council tower block base. Hello, Surgeryman. I wish each thread on here would have a 'binner' count, as I would love to know how many of the buggers are squirming like a mouse that's just been caught in a trap, after reading some of these!
GANDY YOU ABSOLUTE BEAUTY. I remember that post well, took me the best part of an hour to write and was gone in five minutes. How do you still have access to it?! I haven't seen it from when I wrote it almost two years ago, until today!
I thought they were all deleted!!! What I miss most about the old 606 is Norwich being in League One! We had it so much better then. Our club is just beyond pathetic now and there's no point even attempting any oneupmanship. You will notice, by the way, that I said he's a good manager but in the long term he'll be gone... one day he will go.
As will we all! I promise I'm not looking for the sympathy vote here, but my doctor tells me, every day I live, I'm a day nearer dying
