Chelsea and Arsenal fans have formed an uneasy alliance since we've consolidated, 3rd. The Adebayor line really doesn't wash from fans of the billionaire, bankrolled Chelsea, though
We can to the same extent you can. We have a billionaire owner too but could we sign him without making a loss? No and neither could you
The more they scoff, Yid, the more I smile. If we weren't rattling their cages, they wouldn't be growling.
I wonder how long it will be before the Chavs end up back where they belong (pre CCCP) days? Cant spend shed loads due to FFA, have no decent youth academy to speak of, compared to other clubs. Its looking good for other teams looking for a top 4 finish in future.
Fair enough but I still don't agree(surprise!). We made about £24mill on transfers in the summer so the money is the but it's Adebayor's unwillingness to give up his £170k wages, which is causing the problems, the same reason as many other teams.
Let the Spuds lap it up. They are small time and are enjoying the time they have above us whilst they can. To be fair I remember always getting excited come August/September when we were above United in the table and rubbing it in their faces, but we knew that in the end United would step it up another gear or two and finish above us and I expect Spurs fans realise the same ala Chelsea Fair play, Spurs on a smaller wage bill and a first XI that hasn't cost that much to assemble have managed to start well on the basis of being well run, much like Newcastle. You have to commend them for that
Probably, hence your sliding down the league with an ageing squad. If you do manage to squeeze out 30+ mil for a transfer from now on expect it to be your only one.
Why do you think there is a 'subsidy'. This would only be true if Adebayor was currently actually worth the wages in his City contract. If he was then some other club would be prepared to pay him that. The fact that City thought he was worth this amonunt a few years back is not relevant to what he is worth now. I think Spurs got him because we were prepared to pay the most money. If you know different explain how.
how the **** does it fat and frank rhyme? Your either a ****** or a ****ing dumbass, saying that your probably both along with blind. What a mug
Paying wages that are contractually fixed is still not a 'subsidy'. If City want to overpay players on long-term contracts and then lend them out for whatever they can get then more fool them but all Spurs are doing is paying what Adebayor is currently worth. The only way to prove a subsidy is to show that City turned down a higher offer from someone else.
