One thing is a must do, tomorrow, and that is that the entire Jack Army, must give Bale the most fiercely hostile reception, all game, I don't care if he is Welsh, Wales are not playing tomorrow, and we need to make it very uncomfortable for him to perform and play, by doing this, we will reduce considerable the spurs threat, if ever our boys need the 12 man it is tomorrow, so please let's not let Bale settle into his game!.................

HARRY ON SWANSEA:

Harry Redknapp is targeting a seventh away win of the Premier League campaign at Swansea tomorrow.

We travel to the Liberty Stadium for the first time with a fantastic record of six wins in nine matches on the road so far.

That's already just one win behind our best haul for away matches in a season in the Premier League.

We managed seven in 1993-94, 1995-96, 2009-10 and last season but Harry knows we're in for a test to equal that mark in Wales.

Swansea have a fine home record of just one defeat - to Manchester United - in nine matches so far and beat QPR last time out.

"We've done brilliantly and this is another game we have to win, but it won't be easy," said Harry.

"I watched them play United the other week and that was a tight game.

"Swansea are not an easy side to beat, they are difficult at home. They play some good stuff, pass it from the back, keep the ball and move.

"But we have been to all these kind of places this season - Blackburn, Wigan, Wolves, Norwich - and we've managed to win. The only slip-up was Stoke.

"Our record of winning matches away has been fantastic really.

"They are all tough games but we've won them and that's what we have to do on Saturday."

There again, Inter Milans lunatic Ultra's and their gobbing, missiles and flares failed to put him off scoring a hat-trick, a few Taffs angrily waving leeks doesn't really compare! :)

swantastic, you're clearly forgetting Jazz Richards' allowance of one "Bonymaen tackle" per game!

For any Spurs fans wondering, a "Bonymaen tackle" would probably be about equivalent to a Stockwell one, I'd imagine?

Bale's used to being double marked now.
He struggled to deal with it a bit at first, but Redknapp's given him more freedom to roam, so it's harder to know who's supposed to pick him up.

Paul Lambert noticed how our system's adapted to Lennon's absence, only he didn't really know how to deal with it.
Redknapp's adopted an attacking diamond, of sorts.
Our full-backs provide width, Sandro and Parker protect the defence and Modric makes everything tick from just in front of them.
Adebayor leads the line, with Bale and van der Vaart given licence to wander between the lines in behind him.

Slight change to how we lined up against Chelsea, despite it being the same personnel, bar King.
It'll be interesting to see how it works this time out, against a side that like to dominate possession.

Don't know whether to be pleased or annoyed ! I'll have you know the Swans based their style of play watching half past two games at Bonymaen Park

I only used Bonymaen because I think(?) that's where Jazz is from!

Having said that, I'd always rather a fullback be capable of a Bonymaen tackle over it's Mumbles counterpart... ;)

We basically play the same system, except you have vastly superior players! If we had Van der Vaart and Bale, I'm sure Brendan would tell them to wander around with Modric and Adebayor to help them out too!

SPURS PLAYERS ON SWANSEA:

Our players have been impressed with what they've seen of Swansea so far this season.

The Swans have made an impressive start to Premier League life especially at the Liberty Stadium, with four wins, four draws and a solitary loss from their opening nine league games at home.

And Swansea’s reputation as a team that likes to play a passing game is not lost on our players.

Welsh international Gareth Bale will play a Premier League fixture in his home country for the first time on Saturday and is expecting a tough challenge.

“Swansea have been playing some great football, everyone speaks about how they play," he said.

"Ultimately we want to go there to get the three points, keep the pressure on the teams around us and keep the run going. Hopefully I’ll get a good reception!”

Rafa van der Vaart said: "I saw Swansea and they have a good team, they play good football. They are strong, especially away from home it’s difficult, but we’re looking forward to it."

William Gallas believes our fantastic away form – six wins, one draw and two losses – is evidence of the great desire within the squad.

“It’s great when you win away. It shows we are strong, compact and we want to to get something at the end of the season.

“Swansea like to play football so it will be interesting to see how we are going to play and if we can beat them as well.”

PNP - Redknapp's adopted an attacking diamond, of sorts. Interesting you see it like that, its as near 433 as I've seen, 2 holders and Modric freed up from that lark, and 3 forwards Ade VdV n Bale, all able to interchange, and who Modric can join. Very Barca! <laugh>, and I can see your diamondy thing in that now. <ok>

i can see spurs running riot in this fixture, they keep the ball at least as well as swansea and there is a sense of discontentment amongst the swansea fans for some reason, bale keeps getting better and he can make the even the best defenders look like statues, let alone someone playing out of position..
