Luka Modric has revealed he will snub a January move to help Tottenham push for the title. The Croatian midfielder is a target for Spurs' rivals for the Barclays Premier League crown. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is on the hunt for creativity and came close to bidding for Modric before Chelsea stepped up their interest in the summer. Both sides would consider attempting to lure him away from White Hart Lane after another impressive campaign. But Modric - who has been offered a £100,000-a-week deal by his current employers - has vowed that he is staying at Tottenham until at least the end of the season. Also United's injury crisis must also be worrying and bringing in the want-away Croatian could be the answer as the unhappy lad states No Trolls
I thought Levy had said he wouldn't be going anywhere at any price! However come the Summer he might be persuaded to get top dollar ....and I hope we stay out of it!
I know it must be true because I read it in the Daily Fail. P.S. Why do we need another cross board Modric thread?
I thought as United were still interested in him and his uncertainty in actually saying 'I'm 100%' as opposed to 'I'm almost 100%' sort of opened the door for a United bid. You would have to admit he would be a useful acquistion for yourselves.
It's in The Daily Fail The whole reason why Modric made his comments is to put a stop, ahead of the January transfer window, to clubs coming in with silly £40 million offers. By the way, I'm sure that you will all have seen the suggestion that Barca are going to bid £25 million for Bale. Next time you feel tempted to believe anything you read in the snooze-papers, just remember this story - £25 million for Bale in the January window - and then you will quickly be reminded not to be so naive.
The way I see it is that Man U and Chelsea got their targets mixed up. Sneijder would for us better and Modric would fit United better. I would prefer Sneijder as well to be honest.
You just won't leave this alone, will you? Do you work for the Daily Fail by any chance? I wonder how many more Modric threads you're going to start.
Robby202 is obsessed with Spurs. I think he secretly admires everything that Harry and Levy have done, over the past two seasons. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Spurs is his second team.
But in the article he only says "I can say with almost 100 per cent certainty that I'll be staying at Tottenham until the end of the season"? Why he put the 'almost' in is a mystery! Maybe he said that because nothing in football in concrete?
There's nothing in the Morning Star(incorporating the Daily Worker for peace and socialism ) so it must be a load of ballocks
