Myself, I enjoyed wearing the replica shirt when I was a kid (those Nike/Strongbow ones were lovely, weren't they?) but as I grew up it sort of dawned on me that with all the tacky sponsors on and the sweaty polyester fabric, it's a bit uncomfortable and you look like you're trying to dress up as a footballer, sort of. I'm not one of these people who looks down on shirt-wearers, and I'm happy to wear stuff with the Leeds badge on which doesn't have Macron and Enterprise Insurance plastered all over it (well, I would if I weren't refusing to buy anything other than match tickets from official club sources). So I normally just go to games in normal clothes; jacket, jeans and Adidas trainers. I'm not one of these who subscribes to the Stone Island/Burberry/Aquascutum football fashion craze (never really been one for trends), but I don't look down on them either just like I don't on shirt-wearers. One thing I've never understood is people who wear fancy dress, wigs, jester hats or tights/morph-suits/onesies to games. Cringeworthy. It's also handy to look anonymous sometimes with Police and nobheads circling around, and if you want to get into 'no colours' drinking establishments. So what do you wear when you're off to a Leeds match?
A millwall shirt, so i get a nice escort to the ground by the west yorkshire police, then i take the offending article off and wear a real football shirt, LEEDS UNITED'S
