If we were to get rid of neil who could we get in that was any better. i dont want neil to go. but i think he has his work cut out for him. if he does get the players he wants and things dont get better, i think the board will look else where as it far more rewarding to stay up than go down and try to get back . i dont want this to happen and believe a couple of go centre backs and strickers we will be find and i also believe it would make sence now to spend big. but thimgs are not always that simple. i just have know idea who we can bring in thats any better.

We can't really judge NW until he has a full deck of cards to choose from. Yes he has been a little inconsistent at times this year. But we have been unluckly in the last few weeks with injuries and this has cost us badly. Our survival depends on Jan spending. I think thats obvious to all and won't be lost on NW and the owners. The team we have right now may not stay up. My fear is that we might not be able to acquire good players in Jan. It's great being linked to Bassong, Alex, Jelavic, Defoe etc etc , but will be actually get any of them ? If we get in 3-4 top quality players then we will be ok. A positive might be than we will prob outspend most teams in Jan which will give us a serious advantage over Norwich, Wigan, Blackburn etc etc.
The only available manager might be Mark Hughes. I still would rather give NW a good run before we even consider other options.

Good thinking - I too believe without reinforcement, it would be touch and go whether we stay up, particularly as we have a pretty horrendous run in to the end of the season with away games at the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea in the final month.

I do think we'll get the new players in however. We have money, time, good enthusiastic management - and I think Neil has been preparing for January since the season began, having been rushed into quick (but thankfully mostly successful) signings as a result of the Goons' commercial antics.

Once reinforced, we have to hit the ground running. Most of the games in January, February and March are winnable if the team is firing on all cylinders. We have to compile points in these months - if we leave it until April/May, we could well be in trouble.

I think that it is a bit rich of QPRNUTS to suggest that Neil is not playing with a full deck.

After his wife "player appraisal system" I did wonder. But then, what manager in the Premiership doesn't have a touch of the box of frogs about them...

We won't be getting rid of Warnock, we're where we are because his pre-season was sabotaged by the Goons, his real job on the team starts from Sunday...

Apparently they have a "wife appraisal system" system at Stamford bridge, but it means something different there and is run by John Terry.

This is my most negative appraisal: January will witness the arrival of several has-been, journeymen Premier League "stars" all of whom are on large 4 year deals. After a run of several dour performances, Warnock will carry on insisting that we were "the best team" and the other side only had 2 chances from which they scored 3; this will be followed by claims that the team merely needs time to gel, whilst we consolidate our position in the bottom 3. Finally NW will loudly and most unceremoniously berate the FA with supplying Rangers with the worst run-in that the PL has ever witnessed in order to deflect (unsuccessfully) scrutiny from his disastrous return to the PL.

Of course I want none of this to happen, just thought I would throw it out there!
