Not a lot more chances will come our way this campaign, We stuffed up against Tottenham and Fulham. Four points lost. This is now a defining game. No more excuses, only a significant win will restore whatever credibility we may have left. We are seriously looking at being excluded from the Champions League, and for very good reasons, We're not good enough anymore. We should be humming, but instead we go forward with no great expectations, and with a very fragile future. God only knows whats ahead. AVB, please be brave. Choose your best team, ignore reputations. Players, you sods are making a fortune NOW. Either earn it, or leave for a better deal, but don't use performance as a tool for a better deal somewhere else. Time for our so called superstars to put up or piss off. Stop taking the piss, we're over it.
I'm not sure we stuffed it at WHL. That was a well earned point, but you're absolutely spot on with the cr*p we served up against Fulham and Wigan! The players should be taking stock and being ready to put themselves on the line! I think Lord Nelson's famous words are appropriate in this situation , " Chelsea expects......"
I agree with this. These players are paid massive sums and it is not asking a lot for them to show some effort in the so called smaller games.
still can't forget that last season's loss (yes a draw) to Villa at the bridge... they were **** then also.. unfortunately our defence have not shown any improvement..
Arsenal needed a chelsea player to bail them out They are ****e though so SHOULD be an easy win for you
To be fair about Chelsea this season, every team we have been beaten by has been down to us or the referee and not by us being out classed. Man Utd had two offside goals and a bad ref and when we out played them our comeback was only stopped by a certain striker. QPR was down to Drogba and a poor referee. Arsenal was down to poor defence, as was Liverpool. The draws have all been our fault as well. Aston Villa need to be thumped, and I'm hoping that we will get back on track with a good 4-0. Of course, I predict 1-1
We have the quality but not the desire to perform consistently - at best I can see an ugly win over Villa but a draw looks to be on the cards given our woeful finishing. The reality is that we're in a transitional phase and in our current mood face a real dogfight to get a top 4 place (bearing in mind trips to Eastlands, Emirates & Anfield lie in wait).
NO Its not that, its giving the ball away cheaply. You can not do that and get away with it. We did it so much its was frustrating to sit there and watch it. All of Villa's goals came from sloppiness in giving the ball away. Worst one was Franks half-arsed effort. For what its worth my M.O.M was David Luiz
