Our record at Anfield means nothing really. It's different sides that play each other every season. We've gained only one less point this season, THAT is a more telling statistic.

Having said that I still think we'll lose 2-1

 

It's sound logically. The record the Dippers have over us at their slum is well above average. Results to bring that figure down to a more reasonable level are well overdue.

Like the positive thinking Batman. Good luck with the girlfriend ... remember to hide sharp objects and fragile valuables first.

I think i read on the other 'official' match thread someone saying the scousers are due to give someone a good thumping and i think he's right.......... im ****ting myself for this game, i fear the worst........

 

Worst happens: we get thumped, we are annoyed for a little while and then we all get on with our lives. You aren't going to die !

I don't really have a problem with Liverpool, I dislike Dalglish and Carroll but other than that I can't say I've ever had much of a beef with their fans or anything. The lads on here seem nice enough anyway.

 

It also might finally convince Pardew to drop Best.

 

Best needs a break to recover properly, from what I can see anyway. He has been fluffing up chances he'd have taken with ease earlier in the season and hasn't been putting himself about as much either - looks generally tired and worn. I'm hoping Ben Arfa starts today, if we want a bit of extra threat in the second half as a sub, we can throw Vuckic on surely.

 

I won't be baking tonight as I'll be down the pub with the in-laws who are all Liverpool fans.

Once again I'll be the only Newcastle fan in the pub as the place is usually packed with Chelsea supporters who will most likely be cheering on a draw.

I'm fairly confident about tonight though as Liverpool are not exactly the force we usually expect at home and if we can score first and unsettle them, they are liable to conceed again from the counter attack and Liverpool seem to struggle to score more than once at home.

Ba and Cabaye to score.

 

That aint gonna happen, he wants and needs to give Best games, once Ba goes to the ACON he needs Best to be fit, full of confidence and firing on all cylinders

 

Hey SI, I had an ok Christmas, hope yours was ok also.
I was one of the posters on the forum on Christmas night, sad I know, but it was a bit of a laugh. I think I posted as much that night as I do in a month, just goes to show, I can talk under water when I'm drinking.
We've got to win today, the journey back will be hell if we don't.
I'm setting off for Liverpool in about an hour or so, it's going to be a long day and a late night, I've got to work tomorrow, but I've managed to find myself a good spot in South Shields for my Big Issue.

 

Football management eh...... who'd do it....

 

my hatred extends beyond football i've explained it before on another thread (message of hate i think) and the football side of it is a small part just the way it is i guess
