I for one thought he was a great player and scored lots of great goals but the way he cheated Irland out of the last "World Cup" will always stick in my mind. What are your thoughts
Great player in his time, though not sure he'll be up to speed in the EPL now, so it'll be interesting to see how he does. The handball was something that any player would have done in the same circumstances, no worse than diving to earn a penalty. Cheating of course, but it happens all the time. I could envisage someone like Robbie Keane doing exactly the same thing & people would have said it was just one of those things, **** happens, get over it. He should be welcomed back to this country, there's a lot more unsavoury characters around, England internationals Cole, Terry, Rooney & Ferdinand, than Thierry Henry.
Nothing wrong with a general interest thread. I suppose he's going to have to be eased back into the fray, so I'd say it's likely that we'll be facing him on January the 9th. Heaven knows how we'll handle his pace and skill, but I'm sure now we've recalled Alex Bruce, he can have his one good game a season again against them. You're by far the worst poster on this board, you know that?
Well I personally dislike the player, he's a cheating bastard and always will be. However, he is a fantastic player and even though he's much older and slower now, he's a player I would pay to go and watch. Let's be honest had he joined Leeds, would all be excited and attendances would increase, he's that kind of player.
