    "I hope they (the fans) understand," said the 25-year-old. "I gave 100 per cent and no-one can say anything different.

    "I played in the Championship for them when they dropped down because I thought it was my mistake too.

    "I still love Newcastle and I think all my life I will love them but I play for Liverpool now and I hope I can get three points because that is more important," he added.

    "They sold a lot of players - myself, Andy, Kevin Nolan - and when you do that the team normally drops a little but they are doing really well.

    "They have signed players like Demba Ba and he is on fire at the moment, he is amazing.

    "They are doing really well and I am happy for them. It is special [to play against Newcastle]."

    Think he'll get a mixed reception from the away contingent , he should get a bit of stick but hopefully it won't be too hostile. Save that for Mandy :D

    He'll get some boos but it wont even compare to Carroll, so he'll be forgotten about.

    Jose didn't give 100% towards the end of the season. Remember several lacklustre performances, most notably Blackpool away!

    However, I will not boo him, nor Carroll (got that over with in May and I no longer care enough)

    Ok this ****s me off no END!

    Fact: Jose Enrique was voted WORST player in the PL by Yahoo Sports the season we went down. He was not doing us a favour! We were doing him one in keeping him if anything?!!

    Fact: Believing that simply because we lost him that we would 'drop' IS arrogant.

    Jose was a top player and don't get me wrong I see that Liverpool are a more attractive club to be at (Not by too much though...) therefore I understand why he left but all this loyalty **** he is coming out with now he's keft is a pile of ****. I'll be neither booing nor cheering him however.

    Does sounds somewhat derogatory, but can't boo him; loved the lad to bits up here, and is probably the finest specialist left-back in the league at the moment.

    Stayed with us in the championship or was stuck with us? Anyways hes my fave ever lb we've had. Shame he left especially at £5m
