If his brain was proportional to that head he'd be like Ronaldo, but unfortunately we'll have to teach him to make decisions, and then how to cross.
The only thing missing from his game is a good shot. Probably the worst we have to be honest, he shanks it every time!!
I actually think Carroll will score. It's just bound to happen. My prediction: Liverpool 2 Newcastle 2 Carroll Ba Colloccini Kuyt
Good to see that it looks like Santon is starting, the lad is class, only played a few games and already looks an accomplished Premier League player. Only concern with him is that nagging injury of his, could very well end up having a career like Ledley King with a couple of games on a couple off. Still has that potential he displayed at Inter Milan. Him playing will also give us a bit more attacking flair down the left which is essential because having seen Enrique play for us every week I completely believe that he will have Obertan on toast all match (would love Gabi to prove me wrong, nothing would make me happier than to see him stick it to the doubters). I really hope we play Ben Arfa in the hole. Ba works much better when all the attacking focus is on him, he and Best seem to go for a lot of the same balls. I still have faith Leon can do a good job and would never give up on him after a couple of poor performances coming back from injury, but I think that je ne sais quoi Ben Arfa has may be the key to unlocking Liverpool's stout defence with a killer pass or skill. Also, Cabaye and Tiote work so hard in the midfield there tends to be a huge gap between the midfield and the forward line - a gap we struggle to bridge with two out and out forwards, which is why we are faltering always passing it out wide to wingers who on the whole are in pretty poor form. Benny's presence facilitates the option for passing moves through the middle - he is vital for us as long as our wingers keep misfiring. If we create chances for Ba he's proven to us that he will take the vast majority of them. I'm totally putting the kiss of death on him but his finishing ability and strike ratio is virtually unparalleled by any player I've seen play for us.
Some things are a given. 1) All ex-Newcastle players will score against us 2) Ba will score 3) Liverpool will score 3 goals. Therefore, Liverpool - 3 (Bellamy, Carroll, Enrique), Newcastle - 1 (Ba) It all fits perfectly
Just posted this in the eBar and realised it's probably better here - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/dec/29/liverpool-jose-enrique-newcastle-fans?CMP=twt_gu What sort of reception will he, and should he, get?
Do the words pot and kettle mean anything to you? I'm only kidding, lighten up I have no idea about this game to be honest. It can go any 3 ways. Although us winning would be pushing it. I can't predict it, I can't foresee the future like some members.
You did go through a phase of predicting wins constantly! I don't like predicting the match too much, never like ever being sure of a result myself, just in case Hence why I don't bet on us anymore, always goes tits up!
This has been rather nice so far, just wait till a bad decision happens, or dives. Going to say 1-1 draw with Carroll and Ba scoring.
It's gonna be 3-2 to Newcastle. Carroll '21 Kuyt '36 Ba '45 Colo '89 Perch '96 - Attempts a clearance from our penalty spot without realising his own strength and hoofs it straight up field into the top right hand corner of the Liverpool goal. Does a triple back flip to celebrate
