Somehow i don't think anyone can persuade Monsieur Wenger. He probably wanted him to come back like Campbell and Lehmann did for a short stop gap. I really think that he should start deploying Walcott through the middle. We really need a contingency plan in case RVP needs a rest or is injured!
PNEawf: Have to say the facts don't really back up that assumption (You claim to be a man of science yet all the evidence suggests we were wrong to let him go.) Firstly Henry went on and had a another 30+ goal Season at Barcelona. (He was instrumental in 2 la liga and a Champions League trophies) While we have won NOTHING since he left. I think Wenger got I completely wrong, he should have stayed.
'Everything we did went through him and we only functioned effectively when he did.' I remember how we IMPROVED after he went.......
This is great news! My earlier comment was merely caution has to the expectation of the fans and assuming he could be like the Henry of old, it seems Wengers comments also are urging caution too! I think Henry could be a massive influence on the squad; a player with vast experience of winning and I really hope he takes Walcott under his wing for the next two months! If he could teach Walcott a little who knows he may yet turn out to be the player everyone hoped he would be!
