I agree that we need a striker that knows the league, knows how to score regularly in the league with the potential to make the step up to the PL. That's why i thought we would be in for Sharp or Maynard, because they tick all those boxes for me. I would be happy to buy in a foreign young striker, but only if we got in a more proven striker too. Look at Guly and de Ridder and how long it can take to settle into English football. We need someone who is ready now, but with the potential to play PL football too IMO I'm not convinced by this that we are not looking at either of them, but i guess we shall just have to wait and see..
no need to get personal is there? theyre taking our jobs, so more and more people are out of work, which in turn worsens the economy
Well we will always be guessing with Cortese in charge and so will the footy press. But as we are all having a stab it could be the Coventry striker whos name i will not attempt to spell
Like they need any more support. We just need to ship people like this off somewhere. I'm thinking some sort of island prison like we used to do with Australia.
That's some seriously flawed logic. It doesn't effect the economy if available positions are filled by British people or foreign people so long as the job gets done. The problem is that there are less jobs available because companies cannot afford to employ as many staff due to the recession. And you can blame risk-taking banks for that. Furthermore, there is definitely a need to get personal because you are a problem which needs to be fixed.
What would your reaction be now of they also came out and said we weren't interested in Billy Sharp!?!?!
I like to think the average user of our not606 is above that, but... Fair enough, you must all love brown shirts.
i actually agree with saints fan4life. send cortese, modric, van persie and fonte back home. hell, we might as well send chamberlain and walcott back because they are african deep down. ALL foreigners stealing jobs that englishmen could do better!! NOW, back to reality. I would welcome a young/hungry striker, and i dont care if he has premier league experience or not. Billy sharp would be ideal. hes been doing the business for a few years and i think he could do a job in the prem.
