Well done Downing, he done at least 10 crosses and one was at minimum threatening.

Aston Villa maybe, if they lose Bent to Liverpool then a swap deal perhaps but can't see him leaving. The owners will be furious spending all that money on a player to then be sold for about 10 mil.

Whoever plays in goal for Newcastle against Liverpool will play brilliantly, I will take this chance to congratulate him on his solid performance in advance <ok>

There are always buyers out there for English players. QPR would be my guess.

If Santon is LB will Raylor be on the bench or at RB? I thought he did well there against Norwich.

QPR and Villa are decent shouts, they might spring for Carroll. I see Liverpool are being linked with Bent, swap deal on the cards?

It's happened 4 or 5 times already this season for Krul, wouldnt be uncharacteristic tbh <laugh>

anyone reckon its worth playing benny on the wing to give enrique less opportunity to get forward out of fear of being raped on the counter which obertan wont provide as much and let vuckic play in the hole still think he was stunning against wba and if ba wasnt so good would have been mom

I think if anything that would give Enrique more space to attack because Ben Arfa wouldnt be interested in tracking his runs and would cut inside. I would only ever play HBA on the wing in games we expect to dominate.

Always catches him though, and sticks to his touchline more.

Hopefully HBA provides us some threat from the centre, Liverpool look vulnerable without Lucas.

They have a great defence though, one of the best in the league plus they are unbeaten at home with a great defencive record at Anfield.

    LOL!

I think it'll be a tight game. My heart says a dominant 3-0 win for us; my mind says this has score draw written all over it. Should be a good game. Always had a soft spot for Newcastle after the epic 4-3 games, but hope they are off their game on friday! ;) <ok>

That's how I felt earlier in the season, but lately what's annoyed me with Raylor is that he gets lost in the midfield when teams are counter attacking through the middle or along his side of the pitch. It's unbelievable how often Colo is left to challenge attacking strikers/wingers/midfielders in our end as Raylor comes scurrying back to try and get into position. The most confusing thing about it is that he so rarely gets forward on the attack (credit to him for the assist against Bolton - he should make more runs like that) and yet still wanders out of position and so poorly reads counters and runs down his side.
