I'm not so optimistic Santon will start, how long did it take us to drop Raylor the first time? Ben Arfa is absolutely key though, as Enrique will give us nothing down the right.

    My hopeful line-up:
    ---------------Reina
    Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
    --------------Spearing
    --------Henderson - Adam
    ----Maxi ----- Carroll ----- Bellamy

Subs: Doni, Kelly, Carragher, Shelvey, Gerrard, Downing, Kuyt

    Anyone agree?

No idea, but if you want Carroll to start scoring then build the team around him.

    Reina
    Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
    Henderson Spearing Adam Downing
    Bellamy----
    ----
    Carroll

2 wingers and full backs who can cross the ball with a nippy striker to get on the end of any flick ons/knock downs. No idea if that would really work though as I dont watch Liverpool too much.

Exactly what I have been saying all along, Carroll gets such a hard time-When we are not even playing to his strengths

I think it's simply because he isnt the focal point of your team, Suarez is. Playing inverted wingers and fluid 4-3-3s is no good for him, you need to get some decent crosses in.

I doubt Benny will start given Pardew saying he's seen enough of him to know he's only capable of cameo's for now. Obertans not as Bad as people are saying. He's got a few assists and is an oulet that relieves pressure. At least he has some pace to threaten that side with.

Most Liverpool fans don't wan't to see early crosses and long balls being aimed at him which is the problem Dalglish has. Saying that though I do think they underestimate his ability with his feet.

I wasnt really slating Obertan so much as praising Enrique. He's arguably the best LB in the league.

He's decent on the ground but nowhere near the players like Suarez. He fit in fine in Hughton's team, we played it perfectly for him, but I dont think Liverpool will be able to find the right mix as they want fluid passing football. Nothing wrong with that, it just doesnt suit him.

Downing annoyed the crap outta' me against Blackburn and the fact that Maxi got taken off did too. Also the thing about underestimating his ability at his feet is true. Its not so much we underestimate it, its the fact that every ****ing attack goes straight to Downing for a cross. One dimensional, zero creativity and worst of all zero accuracy

The attacking threat of Bellamy will cause us problems but other than that It's a solid Liverpool defense that concerns me. Hendo, Carroll just don't strike fear into me.

Didn't Downing play RW vs Blackburn? If so Santon should easily have him covered.

Our wrong sided left backs are all set up to deal with a wrong sided right winger. In theory.

Downing isn't a threat anyway. I can almost guarantee he won't prove me wrong.

    We're better off playing Shelvey/Spearing/Henderson

Not really, its just his lack of interest. On monday I was furious with Carroll when a cross came in and Carroll missed it but Downing was at the far post and knocked it back across into the six yard box. Where was Carroll? He had his back to the ball and didn't even try to get on the end of Downing header. The guy is a disgrace and I can't wait until he's sold.

Pardew has all but said Santon will start. I can see him using Santon as it gives Jonas a chance to get forward more rather than covering Raylor.

Who'd buy him though? The only clubs I can think of that would be remotely interested are us and Stoke, and neither would pay him 80 grand a week. Unless you get lucky with one of the new Arab rich clubs abroad who still think he's good.
