He was under par today but today I feel it was more because of Downing's utter incompetence at crossing. He made some headers and obviously their keeper played a blinder, what can he do about it?
First half lacked pace and any sign of a killer intent. Don't know where Carroll got his black eye from but it certainly wasn't from bullying CBs! It's just so frustrating when you can see that we are the better side but just don't produce!!!!
I missed the first half, but in the second half at least, he is never in the right position. What can he do about it? Learn where he needs to be to poach goals, follow up shots, etc. Suarez/Maxi were a greater threat from crosses than Carroll from what I saw today. I'm not talking about just todays game either for Carroll, every game I watch him play he's the same. He has an awful footballing brain to be a striker and that's something you're born with. Downing put in a few decent balls, one of his better games for us. Unfortunately, there was rarely anyone at the end of them. I've had faith in Carroll for the best part of a year but I'm finally realising that he simply isn't smart enough to do his job.
Only just seen the scoreline, and i'm sorry thats not ****ing good enough. Too many draws. Screw Carroll, we must buy in January. We cannot afford this.
Just back from the match and as you guys know I tend not to come on after the game (win,lose or draw) because these things are best commented on after a bit of reflection....however I am so angry at that result that i just can't help commenting today. By far and away the most disappointing result of the season (if not the whole year) and what a ****ing joke of an effort that was. Yes we were unlucky at the end but why the HELL do we fanny about waiting until the 91st minute to pile the pressure on against the team with the lowest confidence in the league, worst points tally and half their bloody squad missing. Crazy team selection (no goals and no sign of goals so let's leave Bellamy on the bench shall we). Downings ****ing useless at most things, Mandy is useless at pretty much everything and taking off Maxi, the only guy who seems cool in front of goal was madness. Just not good enough Redmen, from players through to management this was piss poor. I've wasted my Boxing Day going to watch that and I'm ****ing fuming about it. Lets not use the "their keeper had a blinder" excuse again because it just doesn't wash. Maybe once or twice but at some point lets be honest and say if we are only going to give them a few saves to make then we can't really complain when he saves them. How the **** have we managed to look so incompetent against Norwich, Swansea, Sunderland and Blackburn at home. 2 points from Wigan and Blackburn just about says it all really...we don't deserve to even be talked about as a top four team at the moment. Am off to do something useful and get absolutely twatted (and after twelve pints I'll still be able to hit the target as well as any of our players). Rant over....for now.
100% agree. I missed the game round my grandfathers for his birthday. Came home expecint 3-1 ish and a draw met me again. I didn't move for a minute! Pass frustration onto anger. Thats its for Carroll. We need to buy and maybe give him another shout once we're scoring freely.

haha no it was pictures that were sent to me from the game, had the players warming up and that but can't quite figure how to get them from desktop to here without URL. They are on my facebook page but that doesnt work either. This is my work comp so uh, no extra curricular activity on this!
