I don't know whether this thread is designed to provoke a reaction or not (God forbid !) but my wife is from the beautiful Emerald Isle and I have spoken (at length) to many of her friends and relatives, one old gentleman in particular who is very proud to have served in the RAF during World War 2 and who is also a proud Irishman (that's the Republic by the way) and who is also held in high esteem in his local area (that area being Kerry) for having done so.

Don't even know what that means lad. But obviously the fact that a proud Kerryman was proud to fight against the Nazis and is lauded for it it by other PROUD IRISHMEN pisses you off ! MEH !!!

I can't make assumptions but.... Obviously the guy was very troubled about something in his life that made him do what he did. There are many rumours about what that might be on the internet.
